The thought occurred to me though that as bad as Carlisle acted in the previous couple of chapters when he blatantly undermined Bella's pain from her past, shouldn't Carlisle be able to be forgiven too?? Yes he was an ass, but if the other angels can feel his contrition then shouldn't they help Bella and Charlie forgive him for his cras actions/words?
