About Me:
I'm a more than thirty-something wife, mother of two, and working former business owner who used to be a prospective whale biologist in Washington (not too far from the Olympic Peninsula). I met my then Stage Manager husband in the local theater while playing the role of a vampire (Dracula's Lucy) and my life was forever changed! Needless to say, drama comes naturally to both my kids, and they are the inspriation that keeps me moving. Reading, and writing Twi-fic, is much needed creativity in my life right now.
Despite having played a Vampire in a local production of "Dracula" I had not heard of "Twilight" until the movie came out. Go figure. My typical cuppa is Sci-Fi/Fantasy, not Romance and never before vamp fiction, so my RL friends and family find it histerical that this genre has sucked me in so deeply!
I discovered it when my eldest niece, who has been a fan for years, drug me to the movie with her Thanksgiving 2008. On the way home we stopped to buy me the whole series. I finally quit reading them to obsession (along with "Midnight Sun on SM's website), four months later when I found this site. Yeah!!
I had barely even heard of Fan Fiction, but one day it suddenly occurred to me that others might be wanting more from these characters the same way I was. I entered "best twilight fiction" in my Google box, and here I am.
I came for the lemons, but have stayed for the creativity. And boy, am I glad I did!!
After months and months of loving giving giggle worthy reviews, I've finally added writing my own fic to reading other authors' fabulous works. I'm now intent on stimulating my muse rather than just taking care of others'. lol
I won't lie, I doubt anything I write based on "Twilight" will ever be rated any lower than M. This first story is definitely going to be one big lemon ball, but hey, with a story like Twilight how can you not want to feast off the ol' lemon tree?! So far the two stories I have in mind will also be AU-human just because it makes the sexy times that much more fun! (No fears of breaking your bed partner!) Although recently I've been trying to think of something I could actually let my family read without turning beet red and hiding under a rock for eternity!! So, who knows, I may yet produce something that's more like SM had in mind!
Oddly enough, eight years before I even discovered Twilight, we named our stunningly gorgeous, physically graceul, and naturally talented, deep brown eyed boy Cullen as a middle name. I can't help but find it more and more I ironic the more I read the series! To top it off my sprite of a daughter is unconsciously endevoring to give Alice a run for her money (sans the Cullen coffers) in the utterly adorable, vivacious, big eyed pixie who no one easliy denies and who lives and breaths for cloths, deptartment! She too, dances across the room! (Sadly she seems to have a healthy dose of Bella in her too as she's taken to tripping over smooth, level floors quite frequently!)
I chose RosaBella as my penname here (I'm IslandWoman221 on Twilighted dot net,) because I have a classic look that strongly resembles Rosalie, I love working on my Mustang with my father (having rebuilt it with him awile back- and didn't mind smelling to high heaven of gasoline and gear oil for 6 straight weeks to do it), but am Bella to my core. I don't blush, but in all other ways totally identify with her self perspective and approach to life! I was so shy I didn't speak to anyone willingly or easily as a child (I had teachers who hardly knew the sound of my voice). I got over it in my early teen years, but still find myself approaching new situations with a hang back and observe approach. It would have been wonderful to recognise the blessings of my genetics while in high school, but it has taken another long while to start to apprecieate what I used to have! :D
I had a boyfriend in HS that made me tingle, and not care to ever do anything but kiss him for days on end, but he was younger than me (like Jake) and it ended as inexplicably as it started. Those feelings gives me a place from which to relate to our favorite couple. Consquently, I'm hoping to use that experience and those with my Renaissance Man of a husband, along with sheer imagination to write some great ff! Let me know how well (or not) I succeed!!

I fell in love with the Outlander series and the very yummy Jamie Frasier and couldn't resist writing Kiltward. OMG he is totally one of my favorite Edwards now. I would love to write more of Kiltward once my life settles and I can devote the proper time to it.

Ahhh, defs teary chapter. I'm glad she's coming clean about the depths of her feelings of inadequacy and him about his issues.
I loved how this chapter REALLY showed how unusual the life of a recording star is. We glamorise it so easily and gloss over the trade offs, when really it's more of a life of sacrifice than we like to think.

So sweet! Loved it (of course), but it had a bit of bitter sweet to mellow it and make it authentic and show that just because their life is charmed, doens't mean it's not full of trade offs just like for the rest of us (and in some cases even more so). Pointed out for me how unenviable this type of lifestyle is in so many ways to balance the parts that make us feel it's so charmed. Knew that already, but like how this illustrated the point. Sad about the babies. The pictues were lovely. I'm gonna miss this, but appreciate how satisfying an end you created for us!

I'm glad to see you repost this beloved story here! It's been entirely too long since I've read it, so I'm very happy to welcome you to TWCSL with a new review of every chapter. I'll probablly comment on what pops out at me as I go along. I'm sure I'll notice tons of things I didn't before, now that I'm more familiar with the world you have revealed to us from having read your story before.
I love Rose's greeting of Emmett. :D I'm enjoying the foreshadowing that this society (or at very least community) is much more open and genuine about their feelings.
Bless Esme's tender heart. Her jesture is so telling that she understands where the scars on Bellas back have come from -- violence from those in positon of authority in her past life. I see her as taking on Bella as a daughter from this very first moment. And that Bella is sobbing, missing her mother and finally venting the overwhelming emotions from having her world totally turned on it's head. Love this moment in the story and it makes me want to weep with her. I identify with both Esme and Bella in this moment.
It occurs to me the bath is her baptism into this new life.
Once again, I do enjoy how you had him desensitize her to her prior experiences. That said, it's hard to have the ExB connection dampened by the very real dualistic feeling she has. Her body tells her one thing, her mind another, and her heart is caught in the tug of war and goes with survival. Her universe has been stood on it's ear and she doesn't know what to trust. I watched the Elizabeth Smart interview tonight, and think your Bella has a lot in common with her. Bella's husband is the (in this case) lawful kidnapper, and absolute abuser, and Edward is the overt kidnapper, but tender lover she should have had the first go round. Life is never the direct route it "should" be, and that is reflected in your powerful story. It is titilating, but like Bella we are conflicted. We are forced to thing and evaluate, and analyze. This is a good thing. Good things are many times difficult. And not straight forward. Sometimes that convoluted journey is what brings the greatest rewards, and I think that's exactly what you are after demonstrating in this story you have so generously shared with us. Thank-you!
