No matter how sweet Angela is, I still find it weird that Emmett is willing to date someone that used to be his brother's girlfriend...that his brother had sex with. It's also awkward that he would give her Edward's phone number & encourage them to meet for lunch. I dunno...personally, I just couldn't date someone that had been with another member of my family. :(
I also don't agree with Emmett defending Bella or putting any doubts in Edward's head, or making Edward feel bad in any way because Edward is right in what he's doing - he's doing the right thing for the right reasons - its not just about Bella! I'm SO tired of everyone babying her, tiptoeing around her, making excuses for her, defending her, & pacifying her...soothing her & catering to her needs when she NEVER seems to care about anyone but her herself. She NEEDS to grow the hell up at her age, get over herself, & realize that the world doesn't revolve around her!!!
She's NOT the only woman in the world who has ever been hurt by a man or men before. There are A LOT of women who have had truly awful things happen to them, & I bet they don't whine & sit around feeling sorry for themselves like Bella does. And what Bella went through was all because of her own stupidity, no one else's! So like I said...she NEEDS to get over herself & pull her EXTREMELY immature head outta her a**!!!
I just HOPE that Edward doesn't cave because he's right in this. SHE'S the one who overreacted & blew everything out of proportion instead of appreciating what a fine man she has in Edward...who's ALWAYS willing to go the extra mile for her. WHY can't she ever do the same for him?!?
