Jasper does have a good point. Bella has to want to change and want help for therapy to work. She's gotta do it for herself, not because someone else wants or suggests therapy for her. I hope Bella truly wants it for herself and not being influenced by what she thinks Edward wants. These two don't need any more bumps in the road.

That is true that you have to be willing to change for yourself for therepy to work. You can't change for someone else, just like you can't change other people. Good on Jasper for making Bella think about that. If she only has one foot in the pool than it is not going to work. She has to jump in. Getting a person to like themselves is possibly the hardest battle of all. But she will need to have Edward keep giving her those positive messages to help her fight the voice in her head. Go Bella, you can do it. The hard part will be that a therapist might tell her that she needs to get focused on her before she gets into another relationships, even a good one. Hopefully she and Edward can find a middle ground where Bella can grow as a person and they can grow together.

I'm glad that Bella is getting some help. She deserves to be loved and to love herself. They will be able to have a stronger relationship, when she feels better about herself. She also needs to talk to someone about her job. If it can't be changed, maybe she needs to look at being a teacher at another school or district. She could also teach at a private school. You spend so much time at your job. You have to be happy with what you are doing. The children will also learn more when their teacher is excited about the subject.

I agree that going into her therapy would be a side tangent. However, I am happy that she is getting help. I have also battled self esteem issues and its not fun. You can get help from others but most of the work has to come from inside yourself. Bella has a head start in that she has good confidence in a lot of other areas in her life. Hopefully with help from others, especially Edward, she can work on this other area. While we are not going to see her actual therapy, maybe she could get some homework that we could see that Edward could help her with.

You'd be surprised what schools can do...I was told that I would be teaching a computer class (of which I'm not certified). I did that for a year. You're not an employee of the building, but of the district...you do what they say. It's sad.
