So why did James marry Bella in the first place? Did he need someone to dominate and belittle? Victoria is her ugly self. Hopefully Edward will get rid of her soon. Are you going to include a reading of the will or just allude to it? I'm interested to see what James left, or didn't leave Bella.

Now, I promised that I would give my reviewers a preview from the next chapter, but since my replies to your reviews are public, here's to you all. His face holds a shocked expression. Don't get me wrong, it's very subtle — imperceptible even to those who don't know him well — but for someone who has studied that face for so long, who has seen it in her dreams, and analyzed it's every nuance, it's plain to see. He didn't know who he was meeting today. That Isabella, Mrs. Hunter, would be the same girl who so many years ago had fallen all over his feet. I wonder what he thinks as he gazes at me now. What comparisons he is bound to make between past Bella and present Mrs. Hunter. If he had rejected me then, what would he think of the shell of that person that remains today. Hardening my resolve, I keep the blank look on my face and accept his proffered hand. "Mr. Cullen, thank you for your kind words." My voice is cold, colder than he's ever heard it, but I am a different person now, anyway. The Bella he used to know, is no more.
