As out of line Ben's reaction was, it is understandable and expected as a protective friend. I'm glad Ben and Angela now know how serious Edward and Bella is. Bella transitioning from nanny to live-in girlfriend, I think it the right move for them to progress.

Sorry but this chapter didn't make a lot of sense to me - he doesn't want to hide her away but he does, he sees a future for them but he doesn't .
Sorry (again) but Edward came across as a complete son of a bitch in this chapter he wants everything but on his own terms. He wants people to know, but only those he chooses to tell and only if Bella butters them up first, presumably to save himself from the brunt of their reaction. What happens when somebody, one of Rosalie's friends for example, sees them and inadvertently spills the beans. He wants sex with Bella, again only on his terms.
Bella is right - he really isn't ready for this, for any relationship and it is about time she kicked his sorry ass into touch before he hurts her any more than he already has.

I don't understand why everyone is mad at Edward. He said he needed to take things slow. Bella needs to remember he just got divorced. His kids have been through a lot of changes. Bella should respect how important his kids are to him. Angela is the one that was out of line. She barges into a room in his house and tells him to leave. She was rudly interupting a private conversation. She should be sweet to Edward because he has made her life easier by giving Ben a job. She should be grateful. If Edward was not a nice person, Ben would not have a job. Edward is wonderful. He shows Bella that she is loved. It is just in private. Bella knew from the beginning that it would be this way at the beginning. Two monthes is not a long time, especially since they don't have a lot of private time.
