Good story. Although I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for our sweet Edward at times. I even remember yelling at Bella a few times during my read with a few choice words of my own. And the feeling of contentment when Bella finally forgave Edward. That to me is the sign of a good writer. Kudos to your talent.

This chapter seems a little rushed, and a little early in the plots development. For example the confession of love. Love is a big thing. Something that would have perhaps been more effective if Bella had pondered it on her own, if this was left as an abrupt interaction. For example;

I froze, listening, but heard nothing. The seconds ticked by as I stood, rooted to the spot waiting. Finally, a velvet, familiar voice broke the silence.
“Come here often?” he chuckled.
I spun around, eyes wide, breathing stilled. Then my heart melted at the sight before me.
Edward stood, leaning against the closed door. He was dressed casually in a light colored t-shirt and faded jeans. His feet were bare. Definitely not date attire, but perfect regardless. He smiled playfully as he pushed off from the door and took a few steps toward me.
“Edward….I …Uh…was looking for the bathroom and saw the moonlight…and…” Suddenly, impossibly, he was right in front of me having crossed the room before I could blink. His long finger came to rest against my lips.
“Shhhhh,” he lowered his hand. “It’s alright love. I knew hoped you’d come.”
He what? Knew Hoped I’d come? Love? My head spun with a million questions, but as I saw the way the soft light danced in his liquid eyes, I was transfixed, intoxicated. I struggled for words.
“I… thought you weren’t here. Alice said you were out.” I stammered.
He sighed, carefully formulating his response. “I had something to take care of, so …I could….be here.” My mind was hazy, but didn’t miss his emphasis on the last word.
I gathered my courage. “I’m glad you’re….here” I admitted .His perfect brow furrowed, he looked apprehensive.
“I’m different Bella,” he pleaded. “I’m not like you”
“I know” I whispered, willing him to hear the acceptance in my voice. His eyes narrowed, studying my face. Then he sighed deeply and grabbed the hem of his shirt. He paused for a moment, and then pulled it up over his head. In one fluid motion, it fell to the floor beside him.
“I am different Bella…but I can’t stay away from you.” His eyes begged me to understand. All I could think about were his lips, moving just a few inches from mine, his cool breath fanning across my face. I always knew Edward was different, and in this moment I didn’t care. I would never care. His sincerity rang true in every word he spoke, and his eyes held the answers I sought.
“So don’t,” I replied, hardly more than a whisper. My body was burning with desire and his scent surrounded me, washing over me more with each word he spoke. He smiled gently, closed his eyes and tenderly touched his lips to mine, pulling back after a very short moment searching my eyes again. That short kiss ignited the fire in me, and the pent up flame flowed freely through my veins. I roughly pulled his lips back to mine, kissing him with all the passion I held for him. He moaned against me, responding by pulling me even tighter against his stone body. My hands fisted in his hair, pulling him closer, desperate with passion and need. His lips broke away from mine to hungrily travel down my neck, and across my collarbone. Abruptly, he pulled away taking my face in both of his large hands, his eyes fixed on mine were black now, and wild with desire.
“God Bella, I want you.” His voice was thick with need. "But I can't have you." Then he was gone.

Just a thought, with Edward not surrendering to his desires it would portray a stronger, more determined plot this early on.

I love how you have portrayed Angela, no longer as the shy, girl, instead she's warm and inviting towards Bella, a true friend in this day and age.

I love how you haven't attempted to re-characterise Bella yet, nor Edward. Both remain intact with their original composition, however Bella with more confidence in her own mind - even though it is not recognised to society - and Edward is more of the apparent gentleman, rather than the selfish-acting vampire.

I think you were absolutely right. I love that you had Bella struggle with her bloodlust. I never liked the idea that she just skipped the whole new born phase in Breaking Dawn. You've done a great job portraying that bloodlust and keeping true to how intense SMeyer intended it to be.
You were totally right. I don't think she would've ever gotten past her issues with Edward if she hadn't lost control and taken a human life. Honestly it would be easier for her to resist someone she loved like Charlie or even Angela because of how much she loved them.
I'm so glad I caught this on the random stories and took the time to read it. I'm thoroughly enjoying it and can't wait for your next chapter.

I can understand him, but it must be really hard for Bella. The original character was able to get to know him and his secret. It must be a little bit to much for her at the moment, but I hope that Bella will remember her feeling for Edward, she had before the change.
