This chapter had my emotions all over the place! I feel so terrible for Charlie; I hate that he had to think his daughter was dead, and when he tells Bella she doesn't know fear, it gave me tears in my eyes. I felt Edward's guilt for taking her from her father, and his further guilt for not regretting it; knowing he'd do it again because he needs her. And poor Bella! There's nothing quite like getting yelled at by your daddy, even when you deserve it, but when it's unwarranted? That's terrible! I would have been less mature about it; I probably would have started crying and saying something stupid, like "it's not my fault, daddy! He MADE me!" and then Edward would have taken the phone, and it would have sucked. I guess this just means Bella is a better person than I!

Awww she's not a better person, she's just doing her best to keep her father safe and in her life. If she'd reacted that way, she would have lost her chance to keep on talking to him. But she was definitely feeling terrible and Edward hated having caused that to come down on her like that!
Charlie was definitely in the right to feel the way he did. He doesn't know her circumstances and sadly he can't. Hopefully she can see him again someday :)
