WOW, where do I begin. This is truly sad only because Bella didn't tell Edward her true feelings. I say this because it seems to me Edward never lied to her. He told her she was as asked to go after his original date declined. He seems to be the bad guy here. He kissed her during the prom but he realized that was not what he wanted (I'm sure he's looking at her as a friend in too deep). Proof being he slept with Jessica during that event. He accepted resonsiblity for his action by taking care of his son. The guardian piece I'm not sure of with Bella. Even though he left with to help his mother, I don't recall if this was a legal process between B and X as far as the guardianship. If it was she did say she couldn't leave because of her job and Charlie. I'm not sure how he was that drunk he didn't know it was her. I think subconsiously he knew but there again she didn't validate what happened. She have him an easy out. The worst problem it seems to me is that if they were such good friends how the HELL did they not communicate! She's dying, how do your BFF friendship get to this point and you do not know this!!!!!

Your writing is very good but I do not like this Edward. He slept with another girl without protection on prom night when Bella was his date, forgot he had sex with Bella, used her to take care of his son, and didn't even bother to keep in contact with her for years. I think she's stupid for wasting her love and life on him. I don't see any redemption for that asshole.
