Still really enjoying this.
I think that the slow building friend/relation/ship in this story is one of the reasons why I like it so much, it resembles real life more than most fics.
As for pixie-witch, I really don't care for that character @ all; even in canon she is controlling, manipulative & far too bouncy, for me that's just creepy.
Anyhoo; these are just my thoughts, I'm going back to reading more now.

I think ,fight scenes aree like ballet...you choreograph them. Move for move, line for line, exchange for exchange. You did really well. Repetative works here in the way you used it. Bella has not killed before and is trying hard to avoid it. It's a bit like her trying to talk him down from a window ledge. Whatever needs saying, however many times iy needs to be said. Doing that only makes the scene far more believable than it would be without it. I think the chapter is terrific! And the end fit in perfectly.
