I am really enjoying this story - it's so beautiful. I've laughed and cried a lot already. What Bella has experienced is very painful and the daily discrimination is heartbreaking. I know what it's like to be ridiculed and I definitely understand having a cruel father. Some people may think your description of Charlie is far fetched but its not at all. I have a parent who is vicious and like Bella, the other parent that was loving and supportive passed away five years ago. Not a day goes by that I wished my father was here - he always supported me no matter what, through weight issues, depression, low self-esteem, abuse from my mother, etc. Overall I appreciate the inspiring aspect of this story because true happiness and freedom comes when you decide to take charge of your own life.

Thank you so much for taking a different AND more realistic view in this story. There is no such thing as perfection and in almost every Twilight fanfiction I read, everyone is perfect and Bella is depicted as tiny, petite, slender, toned, etc. Not to mention Edward is always depicted as, "the most beautiful man I've ever seen".
Seriously, yes it's Fanfiction but its great to take a realistic route where nobody is perfect (like in real life) and we care about the characters because of who they are - NOT because anyone is described as, "sex on legs". So thank you, thank you!

I’ve really enjoyed this story. I’m so glad that you persevered and finished it. It is a beautiful love story. Edward is such a loving man and I love how he nurtured and took care of Bella. He loved her no matter what and so much that it hurt. These types of love really do exist. My mom and dad were like that. They were married for 63 years. During the last 10 years my mom had Alzheimer’s. My dad took care of her the whole time; never complaining. He did everything for her and took her everywhere until he could no longer do anymore for her. That’s when hospice came in. My mom died at home within the circle of love of her husband and family. She was 80 years old. My dad goes to visit her almost every day at the graveyard; sometimes for hours just sitting there and talking to her. He misses her so much. It’s been almost a year now and I don’t expect my dad to be around much longer. He’s 83 and pretty sick himself. Plus, his reason for living has passed on and he can’t wait to see her again.
I went through so many emotions with your story – laughter, tears, joy, anger, happy, sad, angst, miracles – and so much love. It was a pleasure to watch Edward and Bella get their happily ever after. THANK YOU!
