hey sweetie!! thank you. If I could swing it, I'd try doing 3rd person, but whenever I've tried, it just doesn't flow right for me... so I stick to first and do POV jumps...lol. And you're not the only feeling bad for E... there are a few of you that are holding on to hope that he'll sort himself out and Bella will give him a shot.
Next chappie underway and hope to have it to ya'll soon, so you don't have to wait too long to see who he ran into in the lecture hall. But a small hint, I'm starting to tie up loose ends...

There's this manga called GE- good ending about a boy named Seiji who originally liked this girl named Shou. However, fate got in the way and he started dating this girl named Yuki who he really loves. The problem is she has a traumatic past making them unable to move on the the next step (sex) eventually leading them to break up. Seiji being depressed confides in Shou who start dating. Recently they have taken their relationship th the next step having sex. Now even though Seiji is with another girl who he "loves" their basically together as a safe house. I guess all I'm saying is you can never stop loving someone. Of course Bella doesn't love Edward or Jasper YET, but she'll most likely love one or the other or possibly both. She'll have to make a choice the safehouse, the one who she pictures a future with, or the one she wants who she doesn't see a future with. In a way it's kinda like Twilight Eclipse where Bella faces a choice choose Jacob the one who would give her a future and she wouldn't have to do anything or Edward who she'll have to become a vampire and wouldn't have a family. I like the way you have written this story and can't wait for the next update :)

Oh Edward, he really needed to take a step back and dug deep into himself and sort out what exactly was he after because there was so much anger in him. He was used by Jane and her friend when he had his first sexual encounter. He was too young to understand and cope with the emotional aftermath as a result he just used women and sex to let out his frustration.
I think what Bella really wanted was Edward but she was put off by his cold demeanour. Falling into a relationship with Jasper just because it was cosy and comfortable would just make both of them unsatisfied at the end.
