Aww, so happy for A&J. And poor Bella going through it all alone. Edward sure is gonna feel stupid when he realizes that Bella's still preggers. Then he'll have something else to beat himself up over. I get that he's been traumatized too, but he knows that Bella had genuine feelings for him before the island, so I still don't get why he would think that would change??? Well, he has so many beyond illogical ways of thinking that I just can't keep up anymore. I hope when he does finally figure it out that it sticks, because I hate when they repeat the same asinine behavior over and over again.
Anyway, this chapter was funny and sweet. I can't wait for the next one to see what's up with Tanya and Bella.

I am so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I felt bad reviewing and explaining how I feel about the story as of late. It's just that this doesn't seem to be an Edward and Bella story anymore. It seems like there were only a few chapter of Edward and Bella together throughout the whole story and there has been a lot of chapters. I'm really sick of Jasper's pov's. I don't really care about Jasper and Alice's relationship at all. I dont care about their engagement, or their sex life, etc... I read for Bella and Edward, not them, and certainly not Tanya and Edward. I hate that the most!!! It really does seem like Edward cares more for Tanya than Bella ever since the island. Now Bella's family and friends dote on Tanya as well. Make sure she's sleeping well, needs someone to stay with her, and now Edward's apartment. He really should have offered it to Bella. Saying Tanya had nowhere to go, does not fly with me. Because she did, she could have either stayed with where she was or on the streets. Did Aro pay Tanya for her whole in the kidnapping like he promised her? if so, I'm sure she can get her own place. All the while, Bella could either stay with her parents or Edward's. She has no job, no money, and didn't even get to finish school and now has two babies on the way. I have not seen anyone worried about her, she even goes to doctor appointments and ultrasound visits alone. She might as well have stayed with her parents. Sorry, I'm just a little annoyed that Alice and Jasper are engaged and Happy, and that Tanya has gotten more attention from everyone except the person who should. Tanya put herself in danger, she agreed to work for them. She never told them no when she could have. I have yet to see her feeling bad for what she did. But then again, she got to stay with Edward most of the time. Still trying to forget all the orgasm's he gave her, just because he was mad that James and Demetri got to rape Bella on a daily basises. I'm sure she would have much rather been his his shoes, then being torn apart. Cant forget Tanya's rant about why Edward would want Bella since she wasn't even that pretty as she is. Bella's all smiles most of the time, even after being raped in the butt, slapped around, molested, humiliated on a daily bases and was the least experienced. She didn't seem to know much about sex and yet Tanya's the only one that had nightmares, had people offer to stay with her, all the while Bella sleeps alone.

I'm happy that Alice is getting her Cinderella story with Jasper. I cracked up with the 'period' scene. But I'm wondering if Alice is, for the lack of a better word, mature enough for a relationship, given she'd been treated as a little girl for so many years. I have no doubt she'll cope well as long as Jasper is with her, but she needs some independence as a woman, if that makes sense.
I'm not thrilled Tanya is moving into Edward's apartment, while he's gone. He should have offered it to Bella, making her his first responsibilty. I know it's not, but it seems like Tanya is his first priority. And he goes out of his way to provide for her. Bella needs to demand that shit to stop, asap.
After Alice shared her news with Bella. I felt bad for Bella, she grasped the wedding band around her neck. That's so sad. It's like she's on the sideline, willing to except anything Edward gives her. Dude needs to do some serious groveling soon. I'm all for Jasper telling him to get his ass home, she needs him. I want E/B to talk to each other on the phone, if they're not able to do so face-to-face. They need to communicate better, and more than just texting good nights.

I really wish there was a discussion thread for this story. Several of the other reviews have things I would like to talk about, add to, agree with, or disagree with.
I thought I might be the only one who has been skimming. I was glad to see I'm not the only one. Wile I'm happy Alice is adjusting and finding her HEA I don't really want to read whole chapters about it, so I've been skimming those. I really don't want to read whole chapters about Tanya, so I'll skip those completely and not even skim them. Well, I take that back, I'll look at the reviews to see if there was any E/B interaction and THEN go back and skim to get to those parts.
I read E/B stories because I like E/B stuff. I don't mind finding out how the others lives are as they pertain to E/B but as for whole stories (chapters) about them, I don't care for. This is feeling less and less like and E/B story.
jess641 said exactly what I was thinking about Tanya. I hated when Tanya was giving Bella advice on how Edward liked sex. Goodness that turned my stomache to think of getting advice from the woman who is sleeping with the man you love. I get it that the circumstances kinda made that a necessity. Still gave me the heebie jeebies though. And to think about Bella ever going to Edwards home and having Tanya show her around.. That just hurts my heart. Although I imagine Edward will probably out and out give it to her since he feels such a need to take care of her.
I was feeling bad that my review might have come across as harsh so I wanted to check back in today. I was glad to see the author reply. I really hope the my review was taken as my thoughts on the characters actions, as you would discuss a movie or book after the fact, and not a judgment against the author. I get a bit skittish about reviews since a lot of authors seem to get really upset if you leave anything but glowing praises. So I wind up not reviewing much.
I don't want to offend anyone. But I do like to discuss the characters and see if I'm viewing it the same way as others or if my personal experiences are clouding things and making me judge the characters harsher than they should be. As in the case of a pregnant woman being abandoned. I share jac4765's opinion that it seems like she has been abandoned by everyone, not just Edward. Although his abandonment hurts the worst.
I'm so surprised that the Dad's haven't done more to call Edward out on abandoning his family. But then again, maybe they have and we just haven't seen that part? As much as I dislike Tanya stuff (I hold grudges horribly) I would hope that even she calls Edward out on it. She seems to have opinions on everything else, surely even she thinks the abandonment is wrong. As a woman surely she has to think how that would look and feel for someone's *husband* to move the woman he was sleeping with into his home while abandoning his wife. Granted it's not the usual circumstance.. But still.
I really do understand that he's grieving the assumed loss of his child. I still think he's going about it majorly wrong. I hear his words that he respects her right to choose, but even if she really did exert her right to choose it feels almost like he's punishing her for making the choice. I don't know ... I see tons and tons of therapy in their futures.
Stating one more time for clarification - please, please don't take this as a flame and judgment. It's really not meant that way and I hope it's not taken that way. If you'd rather not have my true thoughts in things then I'll respect that and not leave anymore reviews. I hope it's not taken harshly or offensively though.

nope, I value ur opinion... i just write the story how it is... im not gonna change it, but I can see how you are upset that it's not an ExB story.. it really never was. It's about 3 couples, if not more. It's about Esme and her chance to be a mother. It's about what happens to a person (Alice) who learns everything she believed her entire life is a lie. It's a about choosing the wrong path because it's right. (Jasper choosing to stay to help Alice) It's about making bad choices and being forgiven for them (Tanya) And it's about believing you are worthy of love even when you think you aren't. (Edward) It's about so much more... James, Dimitri, Victoria... all of them... Bella especially. She needs to learn to be herself.
Edward's coming back, out of love... not obligation. It had to be this way. It's just how it was... if you'd prefer he didn't leave bella... I can give u that ending.
In the hospital he find out she's pregnant with twins and is happy. They leave and move into his apartment. Tanya won't stay with the Cullens because it's just Alice and Jasper. She moves out on her own and withdraws into herself without a support system. Alice and Jasper do well, though Alice is lonely and doesnt' have Tanya and Bella to be role models. Bella always wonders if Edward stayed with her simply because she was pregnant. She doubts him all the time and it eats at their relationship. Edward withdrawls... at some point it would be over.

We have had five chapters since they left the island, approx four to go and only two/three of those will be B/E. [correct me if I'm wrong - please,please correct me I want to be wrong!] Your summary makes it sound like a B/E story but it doesn't seem like it at the moment - actually haven't read the last couple of chapters properly just skimmed through - let me know when B/E are back and so will I be.PS sorry about the rant but for personal reasons I get a bit touchy when pregnant women are abandoned. which by the way why aren't Carlisle/Esme/Charlie, even Emmet/Rosalie demanding that Edward face up to his responsibilities?

I have loved this story to but I have to agree entirely with jess641 I think there needs to be more about what is going on with Edward and Bella as the story was mostly focused on them before they escaped. I am also frustrated and angry at both Edward and Bella for the way they are both behaving. Edward needs to pull his head out of his ass and start acting with his brain and not his ego and Bella needs to toughen up and not let Edward abandon her the way he has based on his assumptions!! Because of this I didn't feel happy for Alice and Jasper as I probably would have if something more pro active was happening between E&B as I am so frustrated about them!! And although Tanya has suffered and moved over to the side of E&B and A&J I can't believe E&B forgave her so easily for getting them to that island in the first place. I agree with Starla!!! and I still don't like Tanya that much for her role in the kidnapping of Edward and Bella and not only did it for more money, but because she thought she could have Edward, well I guess she did for almost a year. Even tried to hurt Bella with their playing around in the play room when she new Bella was still in earshot. Then he invites her to move in his place. It's almost like Bella is getting Tanya's seconds. So later on is Tanya going to move out and then Edward has Bella move in there with their kids? I can't help but think that's messed up! and just because the men messed her up bad down there, that the only one still that knows Tanya's involvement in the plane and kidnapping is Bella. Does the girl ever get mad? there should be some boundaries between Edward and Tanya though, there not stuck on that island anymore. Edward gets all jealous if any guy touches Bella. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this story, but there really should be more Edward and Bella in this fic. It seems like there was way more of everyone else together in this story than there was of Edward and Bella together in it and Edwards seems like a dummy and Bella get's yet again the short end of a stick. All the other couples are happy together, and Bella's been left in the cold. I was a little annoyed with Carlisle talking about grand kids like he has forgotten that Bella is pregnant with two of his grand kids. If I were Bella, I wouldn't care what Edward's reasoning's were and what he thought. I'd be mad at him. Once again it's Jasper that is the voice of reason for Edward. He needs to explain to Edward again that he needs to talk to Bella when something is bothering him, and not come to conclusions yet again. Maybe in a few years he'll actually get it. Gosh, poor Bella!!!!

I'm glad that Alice is adjusting to life in the outside. I didnt know who to feel more embarrassed for about her period though. Alice seemed fine with it, poor Jasper though. Then to run to mom and dad like that. That had to be awkward.
I'm glad Jasper plans to talk to Edward. He's right, enough is enough. I really hope Bella doesn't just take him back though, although she probably will since she seems far too accommodating about everything. I get that he was abused too, but I don't see how his was worse than everyone else's or that he should be given a free pass.
I'll probably skip next chapter if its just going to be Tanya. I know she was abused too but I still keep going back to how she was right there with Victoria sporting happy smiles while watching Bella get abused. Then knowing Edward is being so caring with her making sure her needs are met and moving her into his home ... I get it.. sort of.. Doesn't help that that I went back and reread a few spots to jog my memory so her absolute glee over Bella's abuse and then the chapter (27?) where Edward has marathon sex with her, that had nothing to do with collecting samples, is fresh in my mind. I ache for Bella at the thought of possibly hearing Tanya's screams of extacy while she herself was being tortured.
I'm guessing it would be a cross between Stockholmes and Florence Nightingale that will keep everyone connected.
I think I'm just feeling bitter that everyone seems to be getting to move on with their lives and find their HEA while Bella has been abandoned. I've suffered with PTSD and I've been pregnant so I can only imagine the pain of combining the two *while* the love of your life walks out on you. Maybe that'll be better once Edward ever decides to grace Bella with his appearance. I wish I knew how it was all going to play out. I really don't think I'd be able to forgive him if he stays gone until after the babies are born. That really would feel like he's only with her for the babies.
I am happy for Alice though. She deserves some happiness. I'm not sure about her being a mother anytime soon though.

Its seems its all going quite well so far for them considering what they have been through. It's nice to read. I'm sad and pissed for Bella and I started off feeling a little of understanding for Edward and how he felt unsure of how things would be in the real world but he just assumes too much and acts on it. Doesn't stop to ask and communicate. He just comes across as a coward to me now and someone that is running away and using some shit he knows nothing about as an excuse. I hope Bella makes him work hard to earn her trust again as she is going to think he will just run off at the first hurdle again.

You know at first I thought that mystery POV was James but if he was there out in the open Edward & Jasper would have attacked him. Who ever it was was someone on the payroll for who ever ordered the evidence destroyed. Sad but I at least person had to be there to sabatog the investigation. I wonder if Edward will find James and if he does, who will have the upper hand; I really hope it's Edward. Also is Aro really alive? Really? Please say that he's dead & someone just collected his corps.
I'm glad that everyone decided to gather at the Cullen estate. With everything that happened & the uncertainty of the future it's the best place to be & they'll be together.
I guess I suspected that this story wasn't over yet, not by a long shot.
Well I look forward to your next post & I really hope that Edward & Bella get to talk soon. Then they both laugh & feel stupid for jumping to conclusions, again.

I'm scared for Edward tho. I just wish he wasn't going searching on his own. I mean... what exactly is he gonna do if he actually finds James? I don't remember him having any fighting skills. But then again rage and revenge are powerful motivators.
And when are we gonna find out who that mystery pov was??? It's easy to assume that it's James, but there were other males in that house that weren't named. Soooo, give us a hint? OR... was it Edward on his new burner phone, putting his plan into action? Naw, can't be. He was accounted for during the explosion. But I do think that one of those FBI agents is a mole!
Okay, okay... no more conspiracy theories. Please feel free to update sooner than two weeks. :-)

The mystery POV was one of the agents or police officers on the island communicating with James. You should be scared for Edward, he's not thinking straight. I did promise a HEA for our couples on the island, so don't worry too much. :)
