Jacob got off too easy, if you ask me! I know that he's dead, but still...if he would've done that to my family, I would've made him suffer so much more than Edward did, before I killed him. It was his idea, after all, to kidnap Bella, and use Jacob to do his dirty work, with no regard or care for Bella or her baby. An eye for an eye.
Planting evidence that triggers an FBI investigation, whether it results in anything or not, is just not enough punishment for him! He's scum! Plus, he's a cop, and could probably finiggle his way out of it, somehow.
