I think it's only natural that Edward would be always waiting for the other shoe to drop, it's what's happened to him he whole life and now with all this change and good things happening it must be hard not to believe that it'll all come to an end. Maybe this is something that only time will settle for him. It was lovely of Carlisle and Esme to keep Edward's home in case he came back and have all the neighbours look out for him. What will he do with it now, will he sell it? Of course that would solve some of Edward's issues about money.

That's big news for Edward and he probably feels relieved and a bit happy that he doesn't have to worry about him anymore, but I should imagine he feels guilty about those feelings as well because even though his dad treated him like crap at the end he can still remember when he was a loving and caring dad. It could take him some time to get used to how he feels, he may never be able to reconcile the two different men he knew as his dad.

Jasper's mum talks a lot of sense, I'm glad she turned up. It doesn't seem to have crossed Jasper's mind that Edward doesn't mind being in the same bed with him or the fact that Edward grabs hold of his hand whenever he offers it. I know the remark Edward's dad made about him playing the piano could be taken in different ways but having a gay son would just be another reason for him to physically and mentally abuse Edward and then throw him out. I'm thinking none of this has dawned on Jasper because he's been too focused on trying to make sure Edward's alright whilst at the same time keeping his distance and trying to deny his own feelings. Thank God they're making friends, lol.

It's in most peoples nature to want to make sure that someone in Edward's situation starts to eat properly. I get that Rose wants to protect Edward but sometimes the way she speaks to Jasper makes him sound like some sort of sexual predator. It would be the worst thing ever to enter into a relationship with someone like Edward for it not to work out and him have nowhere to go, but surely that's a decision that Edward should be involved in. He seems to be getting better all the time and maybe if he was more involved with what was going on with the house he might gain more self confidence. Of course, he'd have to come out of his shell a little more but then being thrown in at the deep end can solve that one. I think everyone needs to start getting more of a balance with Edward and start treating him like a normal guy not a wounded bird all the time, he might stop hiding away if he didn't feel like he was being watched all the time, because I think he probably feels a bit like that.

i'm always so amazed at the strength edward had to make it through this time in his life. what a horrible situation for him. it was so sweet how he found ali and took care of her and her giving him a sense of purpose. i loved his first reaction to jasper too, noticing his eyes. and rose, thinking she looked like an angel. she was exactly what edward needed at that moment, someone to make him feel loved and taken care of.
