I haven't written anything in a while because I'm an artist too, and while I'm painting I can't write???? It seems like I only have enough artistic juice for either writing or painting, I need to exercise that muscle and do both- but then real life gets in the way. I'm sorry to see the story is at an end! I loved the originality and depth of this piece. In the beginning, I spent most of my time trying to figure out who was on what side and who was human. I got Jasper right off but Alice took awhile. I think it was the innate sense of goodness you worked into her. Even she was surprised! I'm curious, did you get the idea for the chess games from Twilight or Ingmar Bergman? It was inspired. Thank you for a truly original, unique yet passion filled piee that kept us guessing right to the very end! I loved it! I can't wait to read more from you!
