I love it!! I was laughing quite a bit at Alice's curtsy & Emmett's bow to Bella, and the capture of the turkeys...mainly Emmett's disguise though! I'm a little curious if Jimmy saw the same report and might know more about everyone now. If his plans weren't evil enough before, will the fact that Bella's a princess make them worse? Will he take her for ransom?
So many things happened in this chapter, and I loved them all. I also think it's great how many things they were able to come up with to defend themselves and/or use as weapons. They each bring something different to the table, and it's amazing what they come up with when they work together. A true family!

Glad you liked chapter 24. Can't you just see Alice curtsying and Emmett bowing? And when I found the cammouflage picture, I thought it was classic Emmett. Well, the bit about hoisting the pole into the air sounded good to me. I love the historical information and use of native plants that you work in using Bella. I am always so excited to see the updates in my inbox. I recall somewhere in a previous chapter something about birth control and Bella, but it has got to be getting to the point where it isn't effective any ore. Are they going to use some ancient remedy for that issue too?

As far as Rosalie having the baby goes, I'm not that worried, because women have been having babies for centuries without hospitals, etc. The only thing that worries me is if there are any complications. I bet you won't let that happen though.

Emmett and Esme are alike, with their war-cry's lmao. Emmett yelling at the bee's telling them they had the honey long enough is hilarious. Also having Carlisle and Rosalie re-tell what happened was hilarious, as well as the translation of what Emmett had been saying.
" He can barely speak english" was my fav line of the chapter. hehe.
It must be nice for them to have a proper bed to sleep in, not to mention the hot shower and what not.
I cant believe the pirates are back, i do home they stay away, and dont come back. It would suck to have them try to sneak their way into the island and start trouble.

Yeah, Esme and Emmett are two peas in a pod!
I liked the toothbrush clipping scene with Emmett's nail clippers myself, but I like the 'can barely speak english' line as well.
God, can you imagine sleeping in a real bed after sleeping on the floor for more than three months - I hate sleeping near the floor. If it's what you're always used to, then no problem, but it's not for me. And oh, a hot shower - heaven. :) Even when I lived in the tropics, I liked a warm shower in the Summer (wet season) and a hot one in the Winter (dry season). Cold just doesn't cut it.
Pirates will cause some trouble I'm afraid - it wouldn't be an adventure/mystery without their meddling, but never fear!

Ah ha - so we've reached the discovery that has kept me on edge for the last few chapters. I definitely don't trust whatever those pirates are up to! I thought you did a great job - it was quite intense with the guys watching them for 2 days. I also loved the early parts of the chapter when things were more relaxed and they were all having fun.
Wow - I just had a flash of the pirates being led into the lava tubes, and then after getting covered in bat guano they fall through the floor where E&B were injured. That would be a good way to get rid of them!
Anyhoo - off to look at the pics on the blog, including the new ones from last week...I haven't had a chance yet. And yes - it is salami in the US. My youngest two can't get enough of it, and my husband loves to eat it wrapped around cream cheese. Thanks for the awesome update!

I enjoyed writing the whole 'we've spotted a boat, Oh no they're pirates and what's Alice doing' scene - it was exciting for me to write as well.
Thanks for clarifying the salami reference. I like to eat it in a white bread sandwich (the really fresh, soft, white slices) with tasty cheese - it's like a really strong and bitey cheddar, if that's a reference you understand better.
Funny anecdote for you: the first time I went to the US, which was about 25 years ago, I bought a hot dog from a street vendor, in NYC, I think it was. I asked for cheese and the vendor handed me a squeeze bottle of orange gooey paste. I nearly died. lol. I thought he was gonna put slices on it or at the very least, grated cheese - first and last time I've ever had cheese out of a squeeze bottle. Just in case you're wondering, cheese in a squeeze bottle doesn't exist in Australia. The closest we'd get is cream cheese from the cold dairy case or cream cheese in a jar from the grocery shelf of the supermarket.

Glad you loved chapter 22. Yeah, Emmett always gets a rough time. He's a great character to make the butt of all things mildly terrible. He's always good for a laugh as a character, I find.
Don't worry! Wrecked with Bella IS NOT coming to an end, not anytime soon. They've got plenty more adventures in store. They need to figure out the mystery of the island: Where did the Polynesians go and why; where did the gold plates come from and why are they there; who else has been to Isabella Island, and the pirates aren't gone - not by a longshot! We also have a baby ... or two, to be born and a few other special occasions before it's all over.
Look out for chapter 23 earlier this week, perhaps Friday or Saturday, because I'm off to Melbourne on Sunday. Chapter 24, I'm planning on including Thanksgiving (as long as the plot doesn't go awry with other happenings) so I've been doing heaps of pre-research. Having never been to one, I'm not quite sure about some things. The food and decorations are easier thanks to Google, but Carlisle's speech is giving me a headache and I haven't even started it yet!

OH MY GOD. I never laughed so hard in my life in one chapter of reading in story fic ever.
This chapter was fucking amazing. Esme's warrior YEE-HAW will forever be in my memory lmao.
Alice and her ghosts seemed to be something great of a finding since they got milk now, though, having those goats hurdding them was horrifying and her running past them was hilarious.
the plates? whats up with that? and the bee hive, thats awesome more things for bella to use so she can produce more items most useful for the cullen's in the future, she's very impressive I must say.
I wonder what Carlisle is gonna say, is he gonna blow up and go all mega daddy and hubby? will Edward and Jaz tattle on their mother and their wife/girlfriend? hmm.. that would be hilarious.

I'm writing chapter 22 at the moment, so hopefully it's only a day or so away.
I can't promise chappies as long as this all the time - but sometimes I'll try - really long chappies take it out of me to do one per week. The research takes a lot of time, then there's the writing as well and unfortunately, I work fulltime. I sometimes wish I could write at work, but I figure my employer might frown on that. ;)

oh hell this was a fantastic chapter... all of your characters are so spot on personality wise, and I just adore this Bella and Esme....OMG I was roaring with Belly gripping laughter over the whole Ghosts or Herd of Goats portion .... This was one of the longest chapters yet! I thought it was lovely.
My fav part of the chapter was the whole check up's thing. Edward did well at controling his rage and what not when he learned that his one arm would be shorter than normal. -- Is it true that if that happened in real life that he wouldnt be able to go back to the navy, well not back on a sub? That's freaking insane, his arm was barely shortened. Still that is scary all in the same.
The sex talk was hilarious as well, and then the whole bug checking lmao.
Daddy Cullen is one naughty man, " make your selves scarce" lmao, he wanted to get a little bump & grind in there for his wife. I bet Esme isnt a quiet one lmao.
Their house seems to be lovely i need to check your blog for pictures. I cant wait for the next chapter to be up and ready to read.. what drama will be in the next chapter? I guess I'll just have to wait.

I'm glad you liked the chapter. I favoured the check ups as well, especially Emmett's reaction even if we only heard it from Edward's point of view. I know from experience when I lived in Australia's tropics, the body's prediliction for attracting fungal infections and squatters like ticks and mites. I thank god everyday that I never had the ticks, though I checked regularly, but the fungas and other skin complaints like sweat pimples all of my ass, were effing ruthless!
I'm not absolutely positive that the navy would restrict Edward to land duty because of his shortened arm, but the armed forces the world over are notorious for wanting perfect specimens of health within their fighting ranks. I don't think they'd discharge him, but I feel there is a real possibility that they'd restrict his duties to those that didn't involve the operation of a nuclear submarine!
The house is good, isn't it? I can really see it in my mind. All of those pictures on my blog are real houses built by people living in tropical countries and they're all built by hand by the people who live in them. There are no builders for any of them. These bamboo houses can withstand extreme weather conditions and there are some that have stood for decades if not centuries.
No more clues on chapter 21! You'll have to wait and read. The chapter is percolating in my brain, so I'm thinking it should be posted by this weekend.

Sex Ed, birth control lecture from your 58 year old Dad - how simply mortifying! :)) The house building is made easier by the skills they all bring, but you know what, I'd give it a damn good go myself. It probably wouldn't be on the same level as the Cullen house, but I'd want to be as comfortable and protected as possible if I were in their situation.

So glad you loved it. No one has been rude or flamed me in reviews (touches wood). I think they just forgot what they'd read in an earlier chapter. I thought the physical exams were a nice touch. I was just telling another reviewer (and I reckon you've experience this as well living in Florida) that fungal infections and parasites are rife in the tropics. The affliction I hated the most was the sweat pimples all over my ass. :( No amount of ocean swimming seemed to make a difference to the rash. I luckily never had a tick, but I was attacked plenty of times by sea lice not to mention ground fleas - little bastards!
Look out for chapter 21 by this weekend.

Oh Bella is a PRINCESS well in a way she is. Suites her well I think, and it really gives me insight in why she knows and cares so much for what she does. I think its great and a nice little twist added to the story.
So Alice has been depressed for years, it actually explains some things, but its such a pitty that she hadnt told Jasper and their married. Maybe she didnt want him to think she was some sort of loony, ya know? But hopefully that tea that Bella and Carlisle were talking about to Jasper will help her. A depressed Alice, most definatly isnt a very Alice like thing at all.
So Bella and help with Rosalie's morning sickness? Bella seems to have a nice little hand in helping everybody with their personal problems even if she isnt seeming to take credit for it. Having Bella wrecked with them has prooven to be very useful. Hopefully Bella and Rosalie will become closer.
At first I thought Jasper was going to confess that Alice was pregnant, lmao. lord.
