I'm really enjoying the tale of drama.
It's amazing after all this time Bella is finally dealing with her own grief and pain of loss.
She has cultivated a reputation that even she didn't understand the ramifications would produce. I hope the time with Jacob will heal a few wounds.
Looking forward to so much more of this story!

Edward's family should have done more to get him help emotionally and mentally. He might have needed an inpatient situation to deal with the death of Danial, hurting Bella and the substance abuse. It is too much for one kid to deal with while facing the normal stresses of home and first year of college. Then he has to deal with a new sibling. They are lucky he didn't kill himself.

They need family counciling were Edward can't hide. Esme brought quite a bit of this on herself with how she acted right after the death. Then getting pregnant so soon after Daniels death. It looks like she is trying to replace him. They have given Edward too much space to wallow. He is now in a place where in might need resident therapy to deal with the death as well as the alcohol problem. He is at the point where he could hurt himself.
Author's Response: Esme didn't get pregnant on purpose..it just happened. I do agree that she and Carlisle have had their head in the sand where Edward is concerned. He never caused a moment of worry before, so they are in denial now...they'll wake up soon...as in next chapter (which is with the beta) :)

Love the location. I'm from Norfolk. We vacationed near Chincoteague every year, it seemed. Always managed to oversleep on the morning of the Ponies, though!! Every single time. If anyone is interested in the Wild Pony swim, The MISTY book series is a great way to introduce kids to the area and the event.
The opening chapter has my heart bleeding already.

This has to be the sadest chapter I have read from a story in a long time. I feel so bad for all the Cullens, but especially Edward. He had to see and hold his dying baby brother. He knew there was nothing he could do. Edward took taking care of his siblings very serious and he feels like he let them down in the worst way. They will need some serious therapy in the Cullen family to get past this tragedy. It will always be hard, but Daniel would still want them to live and be happy. He was a very happy child.

They have been so strong with having a long distance relationship. I hate that they are about to have tough times. They are so sweet and so in love. I love how they have the support of their families. I guess that has made the relationship easier.
