Wonderful one-shot. It sucks that both main characters were forced to suffer at the hands of people who claimed to "love" them. I am happy to read they were at least able to support each other when everything else fell to the side and happy that they found each other in the end.

Glad you enjoyed it. I really envisioned both Bella and Jasper coming from very isolated circumstances, and the ones who love us have the most power to hurt us.

Lol- not the pouty face!!!!! Feedback to expand it has been pretty good, so I hope to start working on it soon. I'm writing at a snail's pace because I was a fool and didn't put my kids into any summer activities :D School starts soon though so I'm hoping to get back into a groove then.

Wow this was so good. I love that you allowed Jasper and Bella to be what each other needed while Jasper was gone. I think it's what gave him the strength to know that Bella would be waiting there for him when he showed up at her door. I also love that you didn't portray the other characters as perfect people that can do no wrong as most others do. You saw from the way they all turned their backs on Bella that they weren't the type that either she or Jasper needed in their lives.
It was sad to hear everything Jasper went through leading up to his discharge, but I was so happy to hear that Bella was strong enough to stand by his side when everyone else basically deserted him. She had been through enough in her life and she had to do it all alone and there was no way she was going to make Jasper do the same thing when they could do it together - in whatever capacity he chose. I'm happy he chose to do it with her as a partner and not just a friend.
This story was amazing and I, for one, would definitely read it if you added more to it. I would love to see this relationship grow to see if they can really make it together. I would also like to see what would happen when everyone found out about them. It would definitely be interesting. I'll be waiting patiently for another chapter of this should you decide to extend it. Until then...much love to you - D

So glad you enjoyed this version of Bella and Jasper. I never really forgave the Cullens for abandoning Bella in New Moon and I really played off of that for the backstory here. I've always liked the idea of home as being the person/people that you love and I really wanted these two to fulfill that role for each other. I also liked the idea of Bella being strong for Jasper, even though she desperately needs the connection with him as well.
I do have an outline of a short multichapter fic out of this story and feedback to continue it has been pretty good, so I hope to start working on it soon.

I would love to see it go a few more chapters if you take it there. You know, firing the ass wipes, Bella opening her own Vet place. Years later, throwing there happiness in Alices face or something like that. :)
