Even though I can totally understand Bella's reaction and the whole drama surrounding Edward's lie, doesn't mean I am not desperately wanting the happy happy joy joy to emerge sooner rather than later.
I'm glad that Bella was able to get a little guidance from Rosalie. I was worried that all the things she was thinking would never be addressed because she was keeping it to herself. Then Rosalie was able to just read her so well and tell her exactly what she needed to hear. Thank goodness for Rosalie!
I am such a conflicted reader. Whenever I read about Bella saying how much of what Edward does frustrates her and how him only showing how happy he is isn't helping her trust him, I want to just scream at her to tell him that. Then there's Edward, and how he talks to his dad and Charlie about everything when a lot of the time it's all things he should be telling Bella, I want to yell at him for it. I find myself thinking that if they would just talk to each other they could kiss and make up and then I would have my happy happy joy joy, but that's not necessarily realistic. Plus it wouldn't make for as awesome a story as this so once again I'm stuck. Damn you and your amazing writing abilities! You make me feel as emotionally unstable as Bella and I don't even have pregnancy hormones to combat with.

In my review last week I wasn't trying to say that Bella didn't deserve to not trust Edward, just that if she feels so strongly that she can't ever trust a word that comes out of his mouth or came out of his mouth because he told one lie then she should just tell him to not even bother trying to fix things because no matter what he does it will never work.
That said I still think she needs therapy, she is poison to herself if she can talk herself out of being happy about a miracle pregnancy. Two people made those babies and for her to think that she would have the ultimate say about what happened to them after they were born ie) giving them to loving parents who are together is such crap. Edward loves those babies already and like I said last week if he were me and I heard shit like that I wouldn't be all "oh Bella this is my fault you feel that way I want to make it better" my reaction would be "you need to get over yourself if you think I'm going to sit idly by and watch you give away my kids I WILL fight you on that".

I understand this completely. When Bella thinks, she does so in two different ways; there's the over-analytical method, and then there's the emotional, "irrational" thinking. Like, when she sees Edward looking at her with adoration, but she knows that there's a chance that she's only seeing it because she wants so badly for it to be real. I know some people would be frustrated by the disparity of seeing something but not believing, but I think you've captured this strange dichotomy perfectly. Sometimes you want something so badly that it seems to be there; like when you imagine that the cute boy at the café is flirting with you because you've had a crush on him forever, when really he's just being polite. Or when you know, scientifically, that you cannot possibly make someone sicker by virtue of being in their presence, but you feel culpable, and there's no logical argument that can really persuade you otherwise. Thanks for this intriguing further glance into Bella's psyche. It's been great!

Well I still have trouble understanding Bella' reaction to the point I'm just rolling my eyes at her inner dialogue. He didn't lie about being with another woman. He didn't lie about doing something mean to her. He didn't tell here about is illness because he didn't want her to worry and was afraid she'd leave him. Her insessant rambling that expands it to not being able to trust anything he ever has or ever will say just seems incredible way way way blown out of proportion for anyone. That is just my opinion.

Wow!! Great chapter!!! Poor Bella, all those mixed up feelings , and add in those pregnancy hormones, she really has to be strong and a fighter to get through this!! And Rose just ROCKED!! Such sage advice, so glad it came from Rose, because Bella knows she tells it like it is.
Wasn't too sure about Edward talking to Charlie first, but understood he was trying to be a "man" and taking responsibility, and also telling Charlie that he needs his help in convincing Bella she is not alone!!
So glad that all the grandpadre's know, and so totally agree with not telling Alice yet!! I really hope the New Orleans trip helps them along. I know things won't be magically resolved, but hopefully Bella gets more of a "spark" and gets on track to fully trusting Edward in the future. I have no doubt about Edward proving and making everything work out ok for them all!!
Can't wait for the next update!! Thanks for this amazing one!!

I had wondered how Bella was going to react to finding out she was pregnant. I didn't think of the possibility of 3 babies so that was surprising. I thought she was going to say that they were wrong and she wasn't pregnant, but her actual reaction seems so much more accurate.
Just when I thought we were past all the angst and heartache, then this happens. I can't say I didn't expect it, just that I like to live in my bubble of sunshine and rainbows as Bella so eloquently put it.

I'm sorry but I'm kind of agreeing with Emmett right now. This Bella is poison...to herself though, not everyone else. She needs some serious therapy. So Edward told a lie...big deal, either get over it or just let him go, seriously. The man is a saint trying so hard to "win" back the love of someone that is so ungrateful. Here she is pregnant and he's told her that he's going to be there for her but she just spews out her vitriol ad nauseum and threatens that he not tell anyone. What the freak is she going to do when she finds out, which I have no doubt that she will, that he told Emmett his suspicions??

I don't know what I would do in Rosalie's place. I think she's going about it the right way and the fact she was able to tell Emmett what she's thinking and how she's feeling is a good place to start. I can't decide whether I want to be mad at Emmett or feel bad for him and the position he's in. His ignorance to the whole situation pisses me off and then to see it from his point of view makes me want to cry for him all at the same time. My annoyance with him wants the family to find out about Emmett's screw up so the shit can hit the fan and Alice can chew him out. So now I just shake my fist and give him a dirty look.
I can't wait to see what happens with the Dr.'s appointment and the anniversary party. Ah we're getting close to the happy happy joy joy, I can feel it. Getting glimpses of it now (yes I'm having an Alice moment dont' burst my bubble ;D).

I was really mad at Emmett for the stupid thing he did, and I wanted him to suffer as a consequence, but never did I imagine it going as you wrote. He really is mad and upset with himself, and he really is sorry. You have Rosalie being SO much more upset with him than I thought she could be. They actually might break up! Rose brought up SO much backstory about Bella's early life and brought to light so many things to fear. I really hope Bella does not react how Rose envisions her acting.
I, too, worry about Bella miscarrying. Some earlier chapter alluded to her problems of not only getting pregnant, but carrying to term. I can't wait for her to actually find out she's pregnant. I'm thinking that Monday (when she goes to the doctor) happens before the anniversary party? So she'll know, then, and can share with Charlie and the rest of the family (if she wants)?
I went back to read the story from the beginning this weekend. Bella was certainly feisty and spoke her mind back at the beginning. It's so sad to see her so insecure and with so little self esteem now. All this really took a toll on her. I really do hope she finds more peace of mind, and gets back her brazen self. The girl-time with Alice was really sweet. Bella needs all her friends back.
I still have to laugh at how abysmally out-of-touch she is about baseball. She was so into football (see Ch. 3!), for her to be so ignorant about baseball is really funny.

The changes in Bella's life in the past year have torn her down but she's not done yet. She might be tired of fighting but she's not out of fight! Her doc appt is Monday and the anniversary party isn't until Friday.

Wow where to start....ok first, the rebuilding of Bella and Edward's relationship seems to be going good. I love the little steps they're taking and how they are talking to each other and I certainly love this last scene where they talking on the couch. It was such a sweet moment, even with everything still between them, it felt like something that would have happened at the beginning of their relationship.
I think the talk with Emmett went well. I kinda wish that Bella would have seem the conversation between Emmett and Edward when Emmett came back from the bathroom. That seemed to relay a lot more emotion and might have helped Bella see Emmett's really broken up about it.
I'm always a little suspicious that Bella is going to overhear Edward saying that she is pregnant. Maybe I've read too many stories and just sit here trying to figure out what's going to happen before it does and not just letting the story go as it will and enjoy the surprises from reading it.
Ok well I think I've rambled enough. Love the chapter and can't wait for the next one.

Got lots of wonderings wandering around my brain after all of this...
Pregnant, huh? wow! Had to go back and read how it might be possible. stupid, sneaky, leaky condom! I like Edward's reaction to it (so far). He sounds pleased and excited. I am figuring Emmett doesn't really remember going off on Bella, but if it WAS deliberate, I hope he doesn't throw more guilt at her saying she was irresponsible and that she's making Edward's life worse by trapping him with a baby. I was surprised by the fact that she was off meds because Edward and Alice specifically asked Jasper about things and he answered as if he was sure.
Beautiful seranade from Edward! That guy's got game. He must have really been in good form with husky singing if Bella didn't recognize his voice from the first note.
So glad that Carlisle already had discussions with Esme about Bella feeling guilty. He was able to assuage her guilt by giving her good, sensible, and solid answers.
Really surprised but happy that Bella came clean about Emmett and his "threats". Kinda thought that maybe she would've talked about it in her sleep, and given Edward hints that way. But now he's got the whole story. Can't wait till next chapter to see how that conversation goes!
I know Emmett was upset for Edward, and that people's emotions do get the better of them, but I really hope that it's not all forgive-and-forget with everybody toward him. He really, really screwed Bella up, and that shouldn't be treated lightly.

Jasper only answered he was sure because Bella said she was fine. He had no way to know for sure & didn't think to check like Edward did.
Oh, Edward's got major game! He had the Lifehouse song down cold! Then again, he'd been practicing it outside of the apartment since coming up with the idea at the baseball field.
It will definitely not be forgive and forget. There will be forgiveness b/c there has to be for emotional healing, but it won't be quick and easy.

Le sigh. Where to start...PREGNANT?! That certainly got my attention. I feel a little stupid that I didn't put that together or maybe its just your sneaky writing that threw me off. I really hope nothing happens to the baby. I don't know if I can handle anymore angst. I was starting to think that Bella wasn't going to tell Edward anything about Emmett for a while there. There is still so much that needs to happen and leaps and bounds that happened in this chapter. I can't say how much I love these long chapters. If they were shorter I may have died. I'm so addicted to this story, that only the nice long hit of that addiction keeps me going. Oh, wow! Esme is truly awesome! She really has a good grip on Bella's emotions right now, catching how scared she is about being at fault. So glad Alice is a good sharer - Bella needed Esme's undeivided attention.
Bella's getting closer to Edward - how great! I can understnad her sleeping with him the first night, but I was really surprised about her going to his room on Tuesday night. Hmmm - that ought to create some interesting story material!

So much information was shared between BB and NN the last conversation, that Edward (if NN is him) would have to see the resemblances to his life!
And Lifehouse on the playlist, huh? Wasn't that the group who recorded the song Edward danced with Bella to on their "special" date, at the beginning of the story?

I like this new Edward! He's more carefree and open. He must really enjoy being well enough to handle (and enjoy) being around people! Bella is also entranced!
This is really taking a toll on her - and all this loose clothing? Readers (including myself) are wondering if she is pregnant? but I am wondering, if she is, how they missed that when she was in the hospital herself, after the crash. I'm pretty sure they always check bloodwork on people who stay unconscious for as long as Bella was.
Also curious how Bella can be so uninformed about the sport of baseball? She is, after all, the daughter of sports enthusiast Charlie. I'm sure she sat through many Mariner games, watching TV with him.
You said Esme is appearing in the next chapter. Yea!!! I love Esme, and I think Bella really needs a little mother-love. That girl is WAY too much on her own. She's not that old, that she should always be so on-her-own independent. Thank goodness for Alice and Jasper to continue giving her family hugs!

Bella will be finding out very soon that it wasn't her fault - And Edward will find out his brother made his Angel think the best times in his life were the worst. It's all counting down to Bella cracking and she has no idea it's coming.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the Jasper sections! I wasn't sure I could do him justice in that first scene, but he pretty much writes himself at times. LOL He is far from done making sure his friend Bella isn't hurt any further.

LOL I get the appeal of instant fixes, but that's not real life and that's exactly what I threw these characters in to. In real life, there are good times and bad, sweet words and devastating misunderstandings. We've got a little of everything in this story and it's going to make the ending that much better.

Ahhhh Cliffy! I was sooo surprised to see this updated twice and so close together but I'm happy nonetheless.
As much as I would love for it to be a quick fix, I love the real quality that makes this story so awesome. There are so many little things that would have never been portrayed if it was a quick fix. This builds such a wonderful story and shows more personality of both the characters and the story itself. (Yes I do read the author's notes)

So many things are heating up - Edward is getting better and is going to be living with Alice, and Bella. watch out, world!
That phone call with Rose (last chapter) was weird. She is so out of the loop about what her caveman did. And what's with him? Acting all friendly with Bella, like he didn't just puncture her heart. Can't wait to find out how it all comes out!
I'd like to see Karen get involved in the future. Maybe call Bella after talking with Edward, and actually getting some info out of her to pass on.
On the subject of NumbNuts...I really hope it isn't Edward. For one, it would be way, way too coincidental that out of everyone on the world-wide-web, those 2 hook up. Second, Edward and Bella know each other - they know each other's tastes, and they've spent countless hours talking music. Some of those opinions surely would come out during a chat and ring a bell? Also, NumbNuts talks more crassly than Edward does. And when they talk about their problems, shouldn't it make them think that there's something too familiar about it all? Also, I can't see Edward referring to his family as his "roommates". I'd like to see it be someone who could be a friend, but not Edward. Anyhow, that's my opinion.
While I am not looking forward to a months-long separation, I am looking forward to all the funky things that will probably occur now that Edward is lliving with them. I still think there's something really skewered about Bella's way of thinking (about how bad she is for Edward and how they all can hate her), but I still think there could be a medical reason for her OOC-reasoning. Looking forward to seeing this revealed.
PLEASE do something rotten to Emmett - I am SO angry with him, still!

Ugh, I could tell that was going to go like that as I was reading the letter. It was so vague that the interpretation could be left open for anything. I really am happy with how Jasper was painted in this chapter. He really is a sweetheart and knows just what to say and do. It's so frustrating seeing all the things that Bella and Edward are doing wrong. I just keep chanting in my head "why don't they..." "if only they would..." I'm desperately trying to fix it all in my head, but doesn't do much good unless you write it.

I couldn't help but keep reading faster and faster hoping that it all came out in the open and they were able to talk. I kept looking to the scroll on the side to make sure there was still more to read. Cause if not Emmett is a first class bastard. The only thing Emmett stated correctly in his conversation with Edward is that they both owe Bella big. That's correct cause I see Esme, Alice and Rosalie going to town on him if they ever find out what he said to Bella. And let's not forget Bree...LOL just the thought of Bree being let loose on Emmett is a giggle worthy thought.
While Bella and Edward have some things to work through, this heartache is all on Emmett. I think they could have worked though this (lots of yelling and others thinsg would have happened) if Emmett hadn't so thoroughly used every weakness he ever learned about Bella in order to help drive her off.
That said I can't wait for the next update.

Wow! Bella's really messed up in the head, if she's taking on that much guilt - for absolutely EVERYTHING.
