You always give it a sweetness that takes it from pure smut to lemonade.

Wonderful job with this chapter. The lemon was great, even more so for me because I LUV me some carrot cake (my mom makes the best carrot cake ever!). I dislike how Rose acts as if she's Edward and Bella's judge and jury. Her rude remarks would have gotten her an earful from me!
I love how things are moving forward between them but Bella needs to fess up right away. Edward seems confused, as if he cares for her but is afraid to trust her because he knows what she did. She's reallly digging her own grave by being dishonest.
Luv the story and can't wait to read the next chapter.

I wish she could have told him. I still believe that her lie is not so bad. Either way Edward's manuscript would have been read by Aro. She just may have delayed it a bit. If there was no "proposition" to make Bella would still go after it since she believes in Edward's novel...Plus, honestly I doubt he would have gotten a better editor than her.
God knows what his father did to him. I am sure it is not even comparible to Bella's little white lie.
I am annoyed with Rose. Her concerns might be valid but I don't like people who keep dropping rude hints and remarks instead of just saying what they think. No need to sour everyones mood constantly. Say what you have to say and then shut it.
What is your updating schedule? So I don't have to check 4 times every day!! ;)

Oh, I agree that Bella's lie is not THAT bad - but you know how it is. I think it's more a pride-thing to her than anything else. She's afraid of what he'll think of her - whether he'll loose respect for her as his boss and as his possible lover... Pride is a bitch (just ask me) ;)
Anyway - I'd love to give you my updating schedule, but I don't really have one! LOL! I run my own business, and some days it's busier than others. Unfortunatly, that determines when I get to write and update. But usually it takes me between 7 to 10 days. I hope that helps!

Everything in their relationship is about give and take; but in their case, it's more of a taking on both sides that ends up unintentionally benefiting both parties. This new game? Perfect example. Edward doesn't mind telling her the truth about things, and he's able to slowly seduce her by discovering her hidden erogenous zones. Bella gets to discover both herself and him with the game. I was disappointed in Bella for not coming clean about her recommendation (or lack thereof) to Aro, and I was hoping she would disclaim this chapter, but plenty happened regardless. I loved the exclusively dialogue week. Dialogue is among the hardest thing to write successfully in my opinion, and it showed a clear passage of time without having to be explicit. Thanks for sharing; I think you grow as a writer wit each chapter!

Absolutely wonderful! So far I have loved the direction you were heading. One needs a little angst before the romance right? It only makes it much more epic! I think Edward will break Bella's heart at Jacob's wedding before he realizes what a mistake that was...I shall cry the whole way but I do that every time I read Jane Austen too...
I wonder if Edward did not choose Bella as his editor and if Bella somehow knows this. Somehow she found out? Is that why she was so sad for that brief moment?

Some might think I am overly emotional or just plain weird but I must admit I cried from the beginning of the chapter until she put her silver dress on. When she looked between her parents, Emmet and Rose and pondered about what they have which resulted in her once again being reminded that she had nothing...that just made my heart break for her!! Everyone is going on with this charade, enjoying themselves somehow but she is so alone it is not even funny. I wonder if Rose knew both sides of the story would she still be mad at Bella or would she warn Edward the same way? I fear Edward's victory will be short lived once he sees the damage he caused.
I loved loved this chapter. Thank you for sharing.

Ever since I started reading this story I want to write a little review on how much I like it but it has me sucked in and I keep telling myself that I shall write a few words after the next chapter...or the one after it...and so on.
I am almost sorry I am reading this too fast. I do not wish it to end and have to wait for updates. My heart is clenching thinking of the way Edward wants to play her and I can't help but get teary eyed for our little, misunderstood Bella. Her intentions were not to hurt him, her little play would have done nothing but left him in a good position that he was going to get with Aro one way or another.
I wonder if he will see that once his cloud of anger has subsided. I hope it will be before he breaks her and her heart.
Oh and yeah, this Jacob is a douche!

I try to hold my criticism, but it's hard not to correct a misspelling. I write a fair amount at my job & was for years spelling a certain word incorrectly and was mortified, well probably not that affected, that I was spelling it wrong and that no one had mentioned it. I was also grateful when I was corrected. The thing was no one would of said anything to me but I asked them about their incorrect spelling & they informed me of the correct spelling. Ha ha, I had no idea. So, for me I'm always grateful to learn the correct way to spell something, doesn't mean I'll always get it right but feel better off for knowing the difference.
I know a lot of writers are feeling vulnerable putting there writing out there and wonder if any criticism like spelling correction can detract from the positive criticque so don't even mention the typos or mis spells. What do you think?
I also think it's great there's knowledgeable people out there that offer to Beta.
Kudo's to you for writing not in your first language. English is tricky. By the way I'm thoroughly enjoying your story, hope you keep at it.

Great chapter, with lots of ups and downs, like a rollercoaster. When one thinks he/she has the upper hand, the other show immediately that this is not the case. The little subheadings were really great, especially the last one.
the plot twists with each chapter and now some truth is revealed.
I can't imagine how close Bella and Edward now have to work with each other, now that Bella is Edwards editor for his book. I guess there will be more sparks between them, perhaps also some flames ;). Just hope that they will not be burned.

Jacob and Bella discuss getting engaged. THE NEXT DAY Bella catches Jacob in the act with her best friend Leah. And Renee somehow thinks that this scenario can honestly lead back to "friendship" between Bella and Jacob. Really? Friendship needs trust to flourish. Maybe Bella can forgive Jacob, but FRIENDSHIP? How is that even possible? Jacob cheated. With Bella's best friend. Case closed. Forgiveness, maybe. (I'd have a tough time with that.) But friendship, never.
What does Renee think Bella has to gain by this? She's her mother. Doesn't she have Bella's best interest at heart? Isn't she outraged for her daughter? So she's sad. So what? Imagine how Bella feels. I just don't get where Renee's coming from.
I LOVE this story. It's a great love/hate attraction story with a great twist of revenge.
I feel really bad for Bella in this story. I'm with Emmett. I hope she doesn't get crushed again. She may never recover. That hard shell may just grow shut over her heart and soul.

I love this turn of events!! Every time one of them takes control (or thinks they've taken control) of the exchanges, the other person rises up and shows they've been in control the whole time... I really do hope Bella comes clean to the truth of Edward's manuscript recommendation before the wedding. Unless Jessica's the one who was lying?! I mean, she's clearly been lusting after E for some time, but has gotten nowhere (pre-haircut grab, that is); maybe she's just looking for brownie points? I think this chapter was great, but I wish they would stop playing the games and just admit that they like eachother. Shit all of this is making me angry and frustrated lol.
If they dont admit thier feelings and how they felt and their intetnions from the start then it will end badly for both of them not just Bella. They clearly have some sort of love for eachother but they dont realize it. They already cant sleep with out eachother, thats clear. But Bella needs to open herself up and be herself! Not the fridgid woman everybody makes her seem to be, or herself to be. Edward and her could be soo happy together if they just let eachother be together. Even out of this whole fake relationship mess, they could be happy.
Bella is over Jacob shejust doesnt notice it. I think its time to let her realize shes better now, and over it. Let her go to the wedding with Edward. Jacob will shit himself to see how beautiful she is now and happy and moved on.

This story highest lust rankings ever!!!! They haven't even shared a real kiss yet but I still find the plotline so captivating. this chapter was stunning, I loved that you went into so much detail and that we got to hear from E's side.
I love that this is not a straightforward they dont like eachother then they are inlove and all mushy , having said that I do hope they do open up to eachother more . oh my word I cannot wait for the next chapter , it is the hi light of my very cold winters day !

Wrighters block is a f@cker too! I'm writing this story by the seat of my pants - trying my best to avoid predictability - so there are no pre-written chapters to post. I write, then have it beta'd and then post...
I'm busy with the next chapter and should post within the next couple of days!
