This is a strange little fic. But I'm really liking it non-the-less.

I do indeeed. I jumped the previous chapter, I have not the courage to read it.

Author's Response:

I cry, everytime... but there are some tender scenes at the beginning, just don't read the last two scenes

Tender and, so masculine in their own way. But I am not completely sure of what got at Cedric in this last part.

Author's Response:

he had to protect another, younger student and I think he identified with him very strongly... thx for the review!

Ha, I loved what Harry says to Draco. I wish he was that insulting in the books also. So, what happens now? Does the relationship resumes, an a more mature way or not?

Author's Response:

ummm, yes... next chapter just went up and in the immortal words of Marvin Gaye "Let's Get it On"

my own problem with that passage is that I wished it sounded more British... being an American, I know how to insult in American... oh, well nobody's perfect

No poor Harry is in love, but possibly he is not a stightforward gay boy. He feels guilty, oppressed by having a secret relationship, and would possibly be happier with a traditional boy and girl one. In a sense he is not only jealus, he is envious, I think. And Cedric...why did he mess up? out of  guilt, thinking he owed to Choo?

Mm, what a disaster.

Author's Response:

I think Cedric is easily seduced because he cares about people.  And I have always thought Cho Chang was a little manipulative. She only joins the DA with a friend, to be near Harry who was close to Cedric, and then when that friend betrays the group she whines to Hermione about the punishment. She is my least favorite character in the books. Doesn't excuse what Cedric does, but perhaps it explains it: Cho is manipulative and he is too nice sometimes (and besides, he is still a teenaged boy being offered sex, hard to refuse, that).

The room you  have imagined is wonderful. I suppose it's yours, not Rowlings'.

Author's Response:

The Room of Requirement (also known as the Come-and-Go Room by the house elves) is JK's creation and factors heavily into the storyline of HP5-HP7.  It's how the DeathEaters make it into Hogwarts, for example, in HP6 with the help of Draco and the two Vanishing Cabinets.

The RoR factors into a lot of HP fanfic because it is romance/porno deux et machina of epic proportions. I have read about nearly every possible sex scenario happening there in HP-FF... including one very clever story about Harry and Dumbledore and a stolen Time-Turner.

However, everyone experiences the room differently. And so, for two teenage boys in love who need some privacy, the room reads their minds and give them what they need. Which includes books to show them they aren't alone, supplies for later on. And a sofa and a bed and a shower. Probably an X-Box in there somewhere too.

Yeah, to learn how to give a good BJ takes some time. I love your teenagers enormously: their flares of temper, their jealousy, everything. BTW, do you think that Cedric was using poor Cho just like a cover, as he says, or that he can please (and be pleased by) a girl too? Of course bi-sexuality is more exciting than plain homo...

Author's Response:

I remember being a teenager very well. Wouldn't be one again for all the tea in China.

I wanted to keep the story as canonical as possible, which means I had to deal with the Cho-Harry-Cedric triangle.  I think Cedric is a very sensual and sexual creature who is at his core gay, but not beyond the charms of women... knows how to work that system.  But I think Cho is definitely a beard for Cedric. I don't think he cares about her much beyond nice-guy "uhoh I have made a girl fall in love with me and now I need to do the right thing"... and then again, she is kind of pushy for sex in this story. She is the one who asks for sex in the first place and Cedric just kind of goes along with it.

Not that any of this excuses Cedric entirely. All in all, he is a good guy but his actions are despicable in regards to Cho and Harry, especially as the story progresses. And these two are meant to be kind of Brokeback.  They both want each other, but they are hiding their affection/lust/love, so they both have women on the side, to keep up the appearance of being straight.

It's really hard to find quality Cedric/Harry fics either they suck or they never get finished. Yours is turning out realy good so far it's funny and emotional and i can totaly see Harry snarking out those lines. I can't wait to see where you take this (i just hope that you don't just stop in the middle)

Author's Response:

well, lucky for both of us, this story is already finished and is very short... but have you tried twistyguru at FFNet? he writes a completely different take on these two, but he knows his stuff and is on the third story of his Harry/Cedric series

It is so interesting the way you put yourself in the two boys' heads. Sex or not ,they are still young boys, with the kind of pranks and akwardness that belongs to boys.

Author's Response:

thx, hon... and they are 14/15 and 17/18 in these stories, so still very much figuring things out

So I got here. This is the first Harry Potter fanfiction I am reading, ever. Now, it makes sense. In British Publich Schools there is a lot of boy/boy action I am told, and Hogwart is such kind of school, after all, if a little bit peculiar.

Now, I hate Edward/Jasper stories. Mainly beacuse I want them to be with Bella and Alice respectively. Canon pairings all the way is what I want. Edward and Carlisle ... maybe, in the early years, but mainly as something imagined rather than truly happening (Like in my Heartbroken).

But Harry and Cedric .. it is a totally different kettle of fish. (Mmm...fishes?). Also because the romance that Ms Rowlings put together for Harry in the last books is totally unbelievable. In any case Harry is the less sexually charged character one could imagine. That is not the point. I loved HP immensely, but certainly there is nothing there to give you wet dreams.

(While Twilight, chaste as it is, can trigger a LOT of them, as we authors all know).

Well, anyway, I'll read on, albeit it will be difficult to prepare myself for Cedric demise. Even in the book (and worse in the film) it was difficult.

Author's Response:

honestly, I read all the books and then saw the movie of HP4 and said "whoa, that was very slashy" and went back and reread HP4 and decided that there were at least three places in the text that supported a gay revisionising of the story... and then J.K. Rowling said that Dumbledore was gay, and Dan Radcliffe donated money to the Trevor Project and ... well, the result is this story (after watching lots of YouTube videos)
