I found this the other day while I was searching for a different story. The banner caught my eye. That scary picture of Taylor draws you in and is perfect for this story. After reading the summary I had no choice but to check it out.
I can't begin to tell you how many times you had me in tears. I couldn't imagine living through that kind of experience. I loved Jake in New Moon because he was her best friend before he changed. Of course after his change and all through out Eclipse I had a hard time feeling anything but disgust with him. I always thought he was capable of something like what you've done in this story. Up until the end of the book he was manipulating her by using her feelings for him. I still don't believe she loved him romantically. I think it was always brotherly and he forced her to believe it could've been more. Your story fits more with the Jake Stephenie Meyer portrayed in Eclipse than the one she ended up with in Breaking Dawn.
I can see Bella's fear of Charlie also stemming from the fact that he always pushed her to Jake. I can't tell you how pissed off I get anytime I read the confrontation at her house after the kiss where she broke her hand. Charlie was all supportive of Jake and was like way to go kid. Hello, he basically just assaulted your daughter and you are congratulating him?! That alone would be enough to make me fear my father. I can't wait to see more interaction with Charlie and see how he is handling everything, especially with Billy.
Anyway, great job with this and I anxiously await your next update.

Aww, thank you. It means so much to me that it's having the right emotional effect, though I know it can be tough to read (and write) at times. I feel the same way as you about Jacob. Before he changed he was just a really good friend. But then he started to get really pushy, manipulative, and selfish. I'm glad that you agree that there is still some of the characteristics of the original Jacob in this one. Although this Jacob is particularly cruel, his character was based off of traits/actions of SM's Jake. Most people don't like to think that the Jacob in this story is anything like the original, lol.
That forced kiss in Eclipse bothered me tremendously in many ways. It IS an assault, no matter how you look at it, and Charlie's reaction REALLY bothered me as well. There's lots of Charlie in the next chapter. There is even a section written from his POV. I'm posting the next chapter right now.

Clever (gross, yes) way that you explained why Alice couldn't see Bella. That makes such sense in the grand scheme and a good way to clear up the whole possible pregnancy thing since that isn't part of your big plot. I like the back and forth that Bella is going through - the fear, the sadness and the anger now. At the same time, its nice that for now at least, she believes that Edward and everyone love her.
She never realized in the books that the heart was a diamond, so I can see her being upset, but not devastated like she might be if she thought it was a priceless heirloom. Nice tough again btw.
Rosalie was a good intro - I can see how she and Esme are helping. I would think that in the long term, Emmett will as well. Being the big brother and having an understanding of her situation. I feel really bad for Charlie right now, seperated and devastated at his bad judgement of Jacob.

Ha, ha, yeah, it's very gross. Glad it makes sense to you because I had a reader asking me to not have Bella fall pregnant after reading this chapter. I guess she missed my note about that. I'm very against the idea of having her pregnant from the rape, so it's definitely not happening.
Yes, I'm trying to go through all the stages that Bella would be going through.
Very true, she still doesn't know it's a diamond. That's why from her POV she called it a 'heart charm.'
Ah, funny of you to mention Emmett. You will see that he has a BIG role in chapter 20. Yes, poor Charlie. There will be a section in the next chapter from his POV.

Minor correction (I hope you don't mind): Twice in this chapter you mention Bella feeling nauseous. The correct term is nauseated. Here is the difference between the two words: Sour milk and rotting meat are both nauseous because they make you feel nauseated when you smell them. I don't mind at all! I'm a bit of perfectionist and I like it when people point out my errors. Believe it or not, I did know the difference between the two, but I was told that many new dictionaries are indicating that 'nauseous' can be used in place of 'nauseated,' but I'm thinking maybe my info source didn't know what they were talking about, lol. I used nauseous because it sounded better to me, but I think that to be safe I should probably use 'nauseated' because technically it IS the correct one to use in this case. Thanks again. I will go back and fix it.

A bit repetitive, as you say. Yet, it still moved things forward, as Edward realized that Bella was trying to protect his family and she agreed to go to the hospital. Yeah, not one of my best chapters. It's true that Edward could watch everything that is happening even if he wasn't in the room, but he'd have to be focusing on the thoughts of the doctor in order to see everything, and Bella trusts that he wouldn't watch if she asked him not to. Okay - so I'll have you know that I had to wake myself up in the middle of the night to see if you had updated and you had! I'm totally invested in this storyline right now.
I thought he might overhear the phone call, but you had him all the way to La Push practically by that time. I'm sickened that Jacob is holding this over her head and the dread she has that he's coming and now he's there! I hope that Edward realizes that leaving her alone wasn't a smart move and is on his way or honestly, better yet, I keep hoping that Charlie will find out. Somehow I want dad to come rescue her.
I also wonder if the Pack knows - I mean they share all of their thoughts but they may have the romantic version I guess without all of the beating and raping. Anxiously waiting the next chapter!!

Oh, Edward will find out pretty soon, don't worry. Not immediately, but very soon in terms of the timeline of the story (within a couple of days after he returns from his hunting trip).

I'm so glad that you are doing both POVs. It always adds so much to the story (IMHO). Single POV stories usually feel . . . incomplete, like half a story (which is what they are, LOL)

I'm so glad you like having both POVs. The only problem with having both POVs is that sometimes it can be repetitive. I realized this after I had written quite a few chapters, and some people may find my earlier chapters a bit repetitive with the POVs, but I improved on this later on. OMG!!!!! I love this story...my only question is... Do you believe in a happy ending... as long as I get that, then I love a crazy ride to get there. Jacob is one fucked up individual....I hope that when it all finally comes out that Edward...maybe with the help of Rosalie will KILL Jacob....I hope that this will bring Bella and Rose closer and I'm glad that she won't become pregnant...

So happy to hear it! And don't worry, I could NEVER write anything that didn't have a happy ending! There will be some Bella/Rose bonding later on in the story. As for Edward and Rose killing Jacob...you will have to wait and see what happens :-)
