Your story ranks up there with MOTU in my opinion as far as concept, drama, humor, and down right enjoyment. Hi ... ummm... i try to post every 7 - 10 days...weekly is best but sometimes r/l just wont allow em the time to write. Or like this week I was not only writing the chapter but also an OT..(which will be posted to and the chapter should go up in a day or two depending on how fast M gets it back to me) -- I started writing DitR on the day the story begins May 7, 2010 - and began posting the end of June 2010. Yes there will be and end. I had not anticipated the story going more then 50 chapters...well once i started writing it was clear that wasn't going to happen. Again this is my 1st shot at FF so i had an outline but i found it best to just follow what was happening and allow the characters to tell the story. DitR has become a two year project that yes.. it will end. As of right now Edward and Bella have 6 days left in the original story. Then I have planned OT's and epi's that will finish out the story of Edward and Bella until it's completion ... so I'm assuming it will be yet another year until DitR reaches it's full conclusion....

Hey Louise, I disagree with you saying that this chapter does not move the story forward, to me it did. It gave me answers to some of my questions for Bella and Edward. How could he still get angry of her with Jake as much as I agree with him being upset, having him explain why show how as much as they grow together inside and out of the playroom, neither of them are complete in trusting their relationship?
They still need to grow, not only trusting in one and other by showing it, but also in telling each other what they really mean. I feel sometimes they take each other for granted and in this chapter they both showed that they were still venerable, and needing of each other to understand different facets of their anger or sadness.
We watched them grow a lot in this chapter, we understood how they ticked, just that little bit more. I say you were successful in moving this story forward. Lets just hope that the characters learnt what we did.

I understand Edwards frustration in Bella when it comes to her safety, I feel it when you write from his point of view, and I could never understand why she felt the need to always make light of it. Now I do, I understand why she does. I cant imagine the fear she must have felt after everything that has happened. Until she explained it to Edward with “…I don’t want to be afraid anymore... you make me feel safe …I was just starting to feel normal…and I don’t want to go back…to living in fear…you don’t know what it’s like…you have no idea what it feels like…to be afraid…all the time…” it then clicked in my head, what fear she has been going through and I could not imagine looking over my should 24/7. To live your life like that would be mind numbing.
I also love how everyone understands what she is going through, but in their own way also need the reasurrance that she will look after herself, even if they need to demand it. I think I love the ending of this more than anything, firstly Bella actually saying the words she had bottled up for so long, that she had been raped by James and that she was understand that she need to acknowledge it.
Secondly the way Edward actually realised that she thought he was using her when in actual fact he was trying to gain his inner peace and then he realised he was going about it the wrong way, he just wanted to love her and in the end he got that right as well.
Love the chapter. Love IT! This is what I was talking about with your writing, you know how to move the story along, even if it take 3 chapter to get though a day, you keep it moving and there is always something more to learn, I know in those chapters in the playroom were important in both Edward and Bella growing, bonding and trusting in each other implicity, but to me the main substance of the story had been lost and in less than 3 chapter you have turned it around and you have told me more than I could have ever expected to happen.

I love the last three lines... from being forced to have a buddy system one day and then being grounded the next day, has to be mind blowing. But i do understand their concern.
What shocks me until these pictures turned up Bella was a little blase with it all, I am sorry but this is your life someone is fucking with and she is sitting there thinking that it could be an accident. She needs her head read sometimes.
I am glad now this has shocked her into believing someone is after her. I was actually wondering if it was going to take someone shooting her, for her to actually pull her head out and realise what was going on was serious.
The Fruity Pebbles... I would have eaten them but I understand why she did not, to me that was a bit of blackmailing on Edwards part, really one bowl would not have harmed her, but it was the principal of the fact that she bought them and did not tell him. Really its a bowl of suggary goodness when it that time of the month, I did notice to how he told her that dinner was nearly ready when she had a little bit of chocolate, when will the men understand, leave it alone and let us indulge when we are hormonal, it chocolate!

I think that day I had hit a point with a few different stories and then I read yours and it was heading the same way as a lot of my stories I was reading... I love the fact that yours was always moving, and then all of a sudden it had stoped in this rut of just playroom and sex and as much as I love reading smut, your story was not just about that, but all of a sudden had become that. I think I got a little upset, for that I am sorry.

I think it is time for Bella to put on her big girl panties and tell the truth. If she doesn't how can she be respected at the center. She is knowingly letting a rapist run loose in society. He is going crazy with worry. He can't keep 24 hour survalience on Bella for the rest of their lives. There are alot of things weighing on Edward's mind at the moment and in a few chapters you'll be seeing exactly why his thoughts have strayed to the loss of Mason ... Bella and Officer Hawk??? well you'll just have to see, i don't know if she's ready for that yet. as Edward has been saying Bella is the type of person who pushes thing away and doesn't want to face them until they are shoved in her face... she kind of like a drunk ... she needs to hit rock bottom before she deals with things...and then when she does...it's a no holds bar smackdown that brings her full clarity of mind and actions... she does that with just about everything ... from trying to buy fruity pebbles to dealing with a lesson from her Master...so it's just a matter of what (if anything) is going to be the catalyst to casue her to do what Charlie asked of her "Call officer hawk and put that son of a bitch behind bars where he belongs" .... you'll just ahve to wait and see ...(sorry I'd love to tell you..but that would ruin the story for you ...lol ) until next time ..louise

I rememeber you saying that you thought Demetri trained him... Edward had already told Bella that he lived at Aro's for 6 months while he trained, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back with Esme and Jane....Esme was so upset that Edward came home from Darthmouth and moved in with Aro. She thought it was to bring closure to his greif over Mason but then she found out he was there to observe and train and Esme freaked out saying all kinds of nasty things to Jane... it was the end of - as Esme says "their already fragile relationship" ....anyway now you know the rest of the story (Edward & Demetri's) friendship and why he trust his friend so very much ...

As i said in my A/N... this was a very necessary chapter, It shows that even though Edward is always so sure of himself there is still a vulnerable side to him... also yes, the warning needed to go out about getting involved in D/s...i get lots of emails asking me questions and i listen to the women talk on facebook, it needed to be said that they should always proceed with caution. I have to say I really empathize with Edward here. He's just got no control over any of this, and he's never needed to worry about a loved one in this way. He was due for a breakdown.
Officer Hawk is a useless douche.
I'm glad they were able to talk all this out. They both needed to understand some things from the others' point of view. And they need to be strong together to get through what's coming, I have a feeling.
