I think Bella caused most of her own problems. Bella wanted to keep their relationship quiet. Edward should not have been with Tanya, but he needed a outward relationship. Bella should have been braver, so Edward could have acknowledged her in his life. Edward did not make Bella run into the street without looking. He tried to be there for her, but her parents wouldn't let him at the hospital. Bella not contacting him for a month afterwards didn't help either or her not telling him about the pregnancy. Bella chose her path that made her a bitter woman. Now Edward needs to get rid of Tanya and if Selene is really his daughter, he needs to fight for sole custody.

Aw, thanks. I was actually doubting myself whether I should make her blindness real or not (like she was pretending) but pretending makes it seem stupid (and the reason I thought of why she could be pretending seemed shallow as well. I mean, think about it. Why would she lie to the love of her life about being able to see?) and her disability would be an impact to the story- at least, that's what I think anyway. So I settled for it to be for real at the end.
