I actually found your story while searching for another. The comments on a forum were so polarized, I had to see for myself. Not gonna lie, the first few chapters were sometimes very difficult to get through, but I decided to keep going. I'm so glad idid! I love how you developed the two main characters, and some of the others, and your totally OOC Charlie and Carlisle. WOW!! Love sick and twisted this story is. There are times in the precious chapters where in my eyes gets all teary and before i knew it was crying already. Its a great story, dark and twisted. I want to read more but i cant take it anymore. I need though to complement the author because she is one heck of an amazing author. She made feel every emotion, every fear, ever pain the paddle or belt rendered, every disgust and hatred bella felt and onusion and loved edward have. I feel sad i cannot continue reading it. Its making me sick which only means the author is very effective in conveying her plot. This is not my cup of tea, but i have to admit this is one great story, well written and exceptionally emotional and twisted. I've never wrote a review this long for any of the stories i have read. I just feel that i need to extented my gratituted to the author. I am sorry i cannot continue in reading it cause my heart cannot bear it anymore specially that i share the same values as bella's character. I'm all for women empowerment and equality. I would like to thank the author for the advance warning for graphic scenes, i've never thought i could feel nauseated after reading those, considering that i am a nurse and i've seen pretty disgusting and awefully gross things. Well i guess that only means this author is one heck of an amazing one.

I used to work with a guy who was in his early 20's & married with 3 kids already. I used comments I'd heard from his mouth for inspiration in some of this...I also know women who've lived some level of spousal abuse first hand. The true inspiration for Edward's developing character and change came from someone very close to me. Proof that it is possible for even the most evil of us to change and grow.
Abuse has two victims - the abused and the abuser. The abuser usually comes from an abusive background themselves, but instead of being the next victim of the violence becomes the preditor instead. The only way to overcome is to be willing to be the one to break the chain of violence. It's not easy and in rl that person will stumble, but eventually they win. It's been 30 years since the person I know last stumbled.

Would you believe on a dare from my daughter? It's kind of convoluted, but basically I was bitching about a story I was reading that had such a great summary and set up and then the author couldn't pull it off and ruined it. My daughter dared me to give it a try to see if I could do dark, angsty any better. I've never written anything before ff, but I figured 'why not'. TPW kind of took on a life of it's own and once I got started, I realized I could do so much more with BOTH characters and the story evolved from there. I actually didn't write most of the graphic stuff in the beginning. Another ff writer wanted to get in on this, but remain anonymous...I guess she knew the heat I would take for this and she remained unscathed.
Oh well, live and learn.

I read the complete story before submitting a review. Your story deals with abuse and I have seen and dealt with the results of sexual abuse and know how serious this is. My problem with fanfics involves using photos of the actors from the movies to represent the characters you write about. Do you obtain permisssion to use the actors likeness or are the photos copyrighted? If you don't have the actors' consent, the photos shouldn't be used. Would you use a photo of your father or uncle to represent Charlie, Carlisle? Your brothers' or cousins' photo for James or Demetri? I know most Twilight fanfiction authors use the movie actors' likeness and some get very graphic using photoshop, doesn't make it right. Personally, I see a different person for every story I read and just think more consideration should be given to the actors, cause let me tell ya... you've written lot of crazy to be putting someone's pic to it.

Well, I just finished reading your entire story. Wow, what a journey. I feel like I got to know the characters very well and almost feel like I went through everything right along with them. During your story, I cried, I laughed, and I even smiled every time I saw a softer side of Edward. I felt anger when I read how Bella and the other women were treated, I felt sad when I saw how broken Bella was and heard of how Alice, Rosalie, and Esme were treated. I felt happy when I heard how Jasper healed Alice and how much he truly loved her. I felt proud when Alice began to speak up, I felt proud when Bella stood up for herself. DOP is a similar concept to TPW, but is completely new and original plot and characters. It's not a "cut & paste, change the names" rewrite. Assume nothing. There will be a sequel, which I'm working on to come out next year along with another new series I'm working on.

I have great admiration for you, choose a difficult subject, wrote a serious history, did not give up despite persecution.
Bella was a fighter, Carlisle was sick, insane even, but the worst was Charlie, because Bella was filha.Nós know their cases so unfortunately
happen, people who grow up in environments feel normal abuse.
It is good that these stories to light, as many girls start dating abuse and confuse and control of the boyfriend, with love.

Thank you for sticking with me thru the hard beginning of the story. It was a difficult story to write. I'm glad you liked the ending. Please check out my other works - they aren't nearly as dark. Love of My Obsession comes close, but not like this. I won't write another "in your face" story. It's too emotionally draining on me.

I really don't know what to say about this story...I have a love hate relationship...but I'm glad you had the courage to write about something so disturbing to the collective American mind...most peoPeople don't want to remember that things like this happen every day and you made them remember...good for you

Trust me I understand your love/hate emotion. You don't know what to say...I never know how to respond to a review. Saying "thanks, I'm glad you liked it" always feels so wrong considering the subject. I'm glad you made it through to the other end seems the best response.
I hope you'll check out my other stories if you haven't already. LOMO is also a dark fic, but nothing like TPW. No incest or graphic. CAM is much lighter though still angsty. That seems to be what I write best.

I just want to let you know I have spent the last few days reading your story.. I even put my other stories I have been reading aside just for this..
I can't come up with the words that I feel about your story.. It toldly blew me away.. I know I would love see what their life is after a few years of marriagie. how many kids they have. and so on.
every emotion was on high.. I cried and laughed, was anger at them all..
And was totally amazed that Bella and Edward separted to heal but stayed true to each other.. that is what true soulmate do..
Total amazing... You are a fantastic author..

I have a few outtakes planned for the story - at least a couple for E/B and one for Em/R. I may also do another for Esme.
I started Jasper & Alice's story from TPW a while back but had to put it on hold for now. TPW took a lot out of me and I needed a break from their "world". There are 6 chapters up for Better Than Perfect if you'd like to delve into another part of the story. I do plan to pick it back up after the first of the year and finish it.

Since this is the last chapter I just had to review. I found this story a few days ago, and even though I'm in university and have finals next Friday, I just couldn't stop reading it. Every chapter left me wanting to read more. If you can believe it, I've been sitting down on my bed for 4 hours reading this non-stop, and I was sad when I say i was at the last chapter, because honestly, I was at chapter 30 last night. I said to myself at 10 o'clock, "I'll read this chapter and then go get a shower." That was 2 and a half hours ago, and I said the same sentence at the beginning of every chapter. Just like the book, Breaking Dawn, I had that book read within 24 hours, and it's the biggest of all the books, once I started reading it, I just couldn't put it down. I will be adding you to my favourite list, because I will be reading all of your stories. (But not until December 15, if I can last that long!)
Did I tell you it was an amazing story? I honestly can't wait to read more, and just so I will get off my ass and go get a shower, I let my laptop stayed unplugged for the last little while, and unplugged my charger from the wall so I have to actually get up to plug it in. I'm SO looking foward to December 15th now just to be finish my finals and start reading stories again.
You addicted me, and I'm hooked,

I also have two original novels I've written available thru twcs publishing house. Blind Faith and The Darkness of Perfection. Darkness is based on a similar concept of TPW, but completely new storyline and characters - assume nothing.

Omg.
OH my FUCKING God.
I have NO Words, NO FUCKNIG WORDS! This story left me speechless. I cried, I feared, I struggled, I screamed and raged. I felt so much and at times I felt numb. I had a constant batch of tears in my eyes and always felt suspense and fear. This story left me speechless. There were times it felt like way too much and all I wanted to do was skip to the end. I had to keep reminding myself that she would have a happy ending. But it was so hard to remember, Bella went through so much.
The all went through so much.
when she asked Edward to let her go I was so upset because he had tried so hard to change, but in the end they still got married and I am soo happy. So so happy. Bella was the catalyst for them standing up and ending a generation of evil. She helped Edward and with the three united they were able to stand up and change more.
Omg I just loved this. I hate that its over, but I so love it. Thank you for writing this. Its so hard for me to imagine that stuff like this really does happen and I can't imagine the people who are sick and twisted and who do such things like this. Thank you for writing this thank you (:

Wow! Thank you for your kind words. This story was very hard to write, but I'm glad I did it. I've received so many emails since this journey began from people who either faced some sort of abuse at the hand of a loved one or knew someone who had. I even received an email from a reader whose grandmother was purchased by her grandfather. Her story was not a HEA.

The Darkness of Perfection is my original novel based loosely on the concept of TPW, but with new characters and a completely new plotline. Don't assume anything. I'm working on the sequel and hope to have it out by the end of next year.
Blind Faith is completely original and tells the story of a girl loved by two men. The choices she makes shape and change her and those around her.

I've just found and read nonstop this story. Wow! I'm so glad I got to read it completed- I would have died everytime a chapter ended.
You did a great job with such horrible facts of some peoples lives. I'm so grateful it reached its happy ending with stressing the help Bella and Edward sought; and that Bella got to have a normal college experience.
