I have to say it again, James is completely disturbed. His fascination with torture and putting others down is astounding. But it can't last for ever, especially now that he has began to make mistakes. He lost the phone, realized and didn't pay too much attention to it. He killed Laurent in front of someone else, someone he has no clue as to whom she is and if she could do something. He gets the girls out of the car and wants to enjoy himself. There's someone else in the house now and it's probable it's someone who is there to get Bella and Victoria to safety and why not? Take care of James.
