The events of this chapter continue to blow my mind! I love how Dr. Black woke Edward up! That was a wonderful bit of reverse psychology. I also love that James seems to have gotten help for his addiction and is trying to warn Bella about the cousins. He perhaps doesn't know that Edward is not the bad guy, but does know about Carlisle and Charlie. Esme is the one who can help her most. I hope Bella listens to her. Now that Edward has woken up, is the beast gone?? That's what I'm hopiing for...
And one more thing. There is a word you use in this chapter that you spell "sudo". I think, by the way it is used, that you mean "pseudo". I point this out in the gentlest way I can and mean no offense.

I read this chapter on your blog when it posted there and never got a chance to review or comment. This is a pivotal chapter in the story, I feel. Finding out that Edward's horrible behavior was a result of a "condition" that may have been resolved with his injury from the car accident is a huge development! That Bella is standing up both to her brother and the cousins is also a significant event! I love all these turns the story is taking now and am off to read the next chapter!

This story is very upsetting. Despite Bella's predicament, I don't think even I would agree to an arranged marriage to a socially inept person that makes you feel inferior. But nonetheless, I admire Bella's self respect to follow through and act smart about it. There's been tears from me from the last few chapters! I feel so sorry for her. She really has had an awful life and she's still just dealing. You write extremely well. I am confused however. I'm glad that someone finally told Bella about Edward's condition. Dr. Black is a true friend to Edward. Maybe the head injury will have a reverse effect on Edward's condition, or at least temper it. Bella's inner strength is shining and I'm glad she isn't going to let her brother continue to use her, especially how he has treated her for years. Edward and Bella may have a real future now. Also, Edward's uncles need to get out of his life, they are not helping him.
