Author's Response: Thank you! It was fun writing down a campfire story. I have traveled the Appalachian Mountains, including a little place in Tennessee called Owl Holler. It's not a town, just a valley cut deep into the mountains. It's steep roads are dirt and there is a stream that runs through it. I spent a night there, sleeping in a cabin on someone's farm. It was energizing but at the same time terrifying. We had a bear on the porch and there were gunshots in the night. It was my inspiration for the setting.

Excellent!
Author's Response: Thank you! I enjoy campfire stories so writing one was a pleasurable change of pace. I have to say I have a new appreciation for folks who do this well. It is tougher than it sounds!
