Sorry but his choice of pride made Bella feel like she was thrown away like she was an annoyance. She's only 17 for goodness sakes. I understand Edward a little more, but I still don't agree with him keeping her in the dark. Starting a marriage on a lie/secret is not the way to develop trust with your partner. Also it says Edward didn't know about Bella's parents being killed, he's the underboss. How didn't he know before it made the news? Also I can't shake the feeling that Kate and Garrett are involved somehow. One her dad didn't have to come clean after the Russians attacked them in the resturaunt. Charlie and Garrett could have played it off like the hit was out on Garrett and not Kate. Two, Kate's reaction seemed over done to me. Especially with her then just up and going back to the hotel after everything knowing Bella was so scared and confused. Plus the whole situation with Billy seems too convienent for me. He goes missing just as a hit is carried out. Aren't the Cullens the more powerful family? Going missing puts an automatic target on his back. I just think there is more to the story than Kate and Garrett are letting on. Can't wait to see if I'm right.

Well, this is an interesting turn of events. I have little doubt Edward does truely care for Bella. I have a feeling Edward has harbored a little crush on Bella for longer than she realizes with thier fathers once being friends. I think Carlisle and Charlie were once close and had a falling out. That's why Bella thinks he looks familiar. I also think Charlie got in over his head, trying to move ahead in the family and that put Bella in danger. So as a last resort he went to Carlisle to help him save his daughter from a horrible fate. Now that he married Bella off to a stronger family, he can try to correct his mistakes. As for how Edward has treated Bella, I've noticed he gets more upset when she says she "hates" him or her comment about the wedding being a "funeral" He wants her plain and simple beyond protecting her. I also think with the wedding kiss he discovered a way to reign her in without the violence. He doesn't want her afraid of him. He wants to be the one she trusts the most. I think whoever that man was at the bar unnerved Edward. The threat to Bella is close and he is worried. That explains his sharp change in behavior at the reception. Keep her busy so she doesn't have a chance to ask too many questions. He let her drink too because it keep her close to her sister and was another distraction. I have a feeling that an attempt on Bella's life might be closer than we think to happening. Which will lead to Edward not having a choice, but to explain some of what's going on. I have a feeling Bella is not going to be a happy camper when she finds out what secrets her family is hiding. Can't wait to find out more.

I do love seeing Edward's softer side. No matter how much grief she's given him, he's still watching over her and trying to be considerate while she's down. He might have his issues with her independence, but he certainly doesn't hate her. Her welfare comes first. Kate had a very good point; he needs to ease up a bit and remember not to look for faults. He also needs to remember that no matter what world they live in, Bella is still only a 17 year old girl! I love the relationship you've been building for them and I adore the story you're crafting!
