You got me! This chapter made me smile. Love Edward's usual take on celebrating her birthday. It was sweet and light just what Bella needed with everything going on in her life. I noticed that Edward is constantly telling her he wants to safe and unhurt. His protective nature is coming to light. He's hoping to build Bell's trust and faith in him and his intentions. Also can't wait to see what his other gifts are. Bella's grandpa comment was too funny. These too are going to be good for each other in time.

Well that fight didn't last as long as I thought it would. I am happy to see they both even if they don't realize it yet are learning from their past mistakes. They both had to give a little. I think Edward is liking their moments of closeness and comfort as much as Bella is. It made me laugh that they both turned to each other to see if the fight was over. Bella may be smarter than she realizes. Her little voice not trusting her sister. I wonder if Edward knows more than he's saying. A bit of keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

i think edward has been very patient with bella. we are not dealing with some sensitive little boy, we are dealing with the boss of a mafia. having grown up in this world, bella should recognize how she is pushing all of edward's button and granted he didn't seem too sympathetic to her in the beginning but he prob had no clue how to deal with a teenager with all her emo's and tantrums...for being the boss who is prob quite a scary guy, he had been caring and trying hard at keeping her alive and she didn't make it easy on him and that prob frustrated the hell out of him. we have to give him kudos for keeping his cool and not blow up at her much more than he has done. any other person, he prob would have shot them already...bella keeps saying how he is mad she doesn't do what he says...but what does she expect from the boss who expect everyone to do his bidding as told in the mafia world...she's just lucky she is his wife or she would have been off'd a long time ago...

Hello again. After the last chapter I didn't know what to think about the possibility that Bella was going to let all the shit Edward did to her slide, but it's nice to see she hasn't lost her spark. Edward may have gained some points, but his attitute won't let her forget how he treated her in the past. What a low blow by Rosalie giving Bella the drugs. That was her way of controlling Bella so she couldn't emabrass her or her family again. I would punch her dead in the face for it. I bet Edward figures that out soon enough. Still firmly believe Kate is dirty. Bella's comment about her not really grieving before the funeral. Boy, did she make of show of being the heatbroken daughter when everyone was watching. Figured Jake would enter the story at some point. Didn't see the twist of Billy having a secret family. Don't think Edward is going to like this one bit. Especially if Bella trusts Jake, when she so clearly doesn't trust Edward completely. Something tells me a jealous Edward is going to be pure fireworks.

Excited to see an update! I still can't shake the feeling that Kate and Garrett are involved somehow. I wouldn't be so quick to go back to the house my parents were murdered. Kate seemed anxious to get inside- pulling Bella inside. I know Edward is finally trying to show some compassion for everything Bella has been through. I'm ok with them going forward as long as they don't brush over how much of an ass he has been toward Bella. I know Bella wasn't much better, but Edward knew she was hurt. So I have a little more sympathy for Bella here. Edward was just being an ass because she didn't just fall in line as she was raised and I think his feelings were hurt by how much Bella didn't want to marry him. Especially if he has had feelings for her for awhile. I have a feeling he keep more than an eye on Bella all these years. Any chance for a glimpse into Edwards thoughts? I would love a little insight into his mind.
