Clearly, Victoria hates Bella because she works her ass off and makes Jessica look bad by comparison! I'm not impressed with the police in this case because they would rather pick on Bella than arrest Paul! I loved Rose coming to her rescue at Blondie's and thought that bastard deserved what she did to him! That buzzing touch made me think Edward was there and the red, swollen knuckles make me think it was him who beat hell out of Paul Golden! I'm also fingering Edward as the cocoa and chocolate cake supplier, too! Just Emmett's silly behavior was my clue, plus that remark about it being someone who thinks he's not worthy of dating Bella! Good story, ladies, as always!

In my professional opinion it's improper to have Bella present at a meeting where her qualifications and pay raise is discussed within a larger and party hostile group, I doubt any company would handle things that way.

Again a new story, you ladies are incredible prolific! A couple of comments on the first chapter: It's hardly a coincidence that Edward's in the same elevator as Bella 4 out of 6 mornings (do they actually work 6 day weeks)? He's probably attracted to her but is fighting it due to the age difference, therefore being as obnoxious as possible to her.
Esme now - she goes under the name Masen and runs the diner. Who is then the Mrs Cullen Bella impersonated on the phone? My first thought was that Esme is actually Mrs Cullen and for some reason is running the diner incognito (she did seem quite familiar with Edward), but that would imply that Bella had the balls to impersonate someone she's never even met, her boss's boss's mother on top of it? Does not seem credible, so therefore I'll assume we have yet to meet Mrs Cullen (and Mr Cullen senior), and that Bella is fairly well acquainted with her (again, how otherwise would she dare impersonate her).

Bella has lucked out in her work, if not in her personal life. It's great that she has Rose and Alice as friends, both at work and away. I'm getting a vibe about Edward's interest in Bella. I had fun reading this chapter. You gave us her history in a no-nonsense, perfunctory manner. It made reading that part a bit like reading a resume, but sufficed to do the job.
