Wow!!! I never saw that coming...I trusted you and you didn't let me down... Amazing chapter as usual...I almost felt sorry for Appius...ALMOST! It was probably the repeated rape that made me decide not to pitty him... However, you did something I've never seen before...you offered a reason for his cruel treatment toward Eric. And while incredibly twisted it somewhat humanized the monster...Thank you so much for sharing...can't wait for more.

I am so glad you liked it, and also that I was able to almost make you feel sorry for Appius. I agree he crossed way too many lines, but I think that we all have the potential to be Appius if we are denied our hearts desire and take the wrong path as a result of that.

Thanks for reading! :) I agree with what you say about Appius and what he let himself become, but he was, I think a necessary evil to give us the Viking we all know and love. Not that that makes it OK in any way, but often, I think, there must be dark before the dawn.
