my son went to the dominican republic with a church group. and he said the families the people welcomed you in their home and were so willing to share what little they had. He said it was mind blowing.
I have made lunches and gone down to skid row quite a few times to pass lunches out and it just takes one person to say thank you and you feel how grateful an appreciated they are and it makes it all worth it. it is said they are there and everyone has a story but to know they have some food and drink and their stomach wont be growling for a little while it matters
