I just knew somehow, that Bella had waited for him, hoping he would someday return to her. Since that hadn't happened, she sought him out, brave girl that she is. This was a fun, fast read!

I had this big scene written with them, but I didn't have enough words left to use it. In the end, I had to choose words carefully to bring this accross.
I had fun doing the research and writing this short story. I have enough information to write a slew of crossovers with vampires, pirates and highwaymen.

One down and two to go, Edward seems to be gaining his revenge, but it brings him no joy, as he has lost his beloved Isabella. This being a half-vampire and taking thirty years to become a full-fledged one is really different.

I was actually researching myths about blood suckers in the Caribbean, when I came upon the Albanian vampire folklore. It is completely different, but it was perfect. Image a vampire who could walk in the daylight after a 30 year transformation.

Sounds like Edward makes a pretty good pirate captain. Of course he has to do a lot of his fighting where the crew can't see what he is, but he got the job done and didn't lose too many of his crew!

yes, he has to be very careful with his superhuman abilities, but he also has a responisibility to his crew.

How appropriate to end his life thinking of his Bella! Poor Edward, not having a good day here on the coach road! At least he left a clue as to who murdered his family.

It may seem strange to start a pirate story with a highway robbery, but once the idea took hold, I couldn't shake it. I think it was because I wanted him to be a vampire and it was a great way to introduce Carlisle.
