You really made me want to throttle her father in this one.  Transposing his issues with what his wife felt towards the life as an ARMY wife, to what Bella will feel if she was one herself, was assinine on his part.  I was so proud of her when she slapped him and didn't talk to him for months.  Some may think that was childish, not this reader.  I felt it was strength shining strong there.  For him to presume such a horrid thing was mind boggling.  Especially with her already having lived a life moving all the time.  She knows this life, better than a person just enlisting.  Sheesh.  All that lost time and his injury can be blamed on one General Swan.  I'm glad that they are getting away from him and closer to Edward's family.  Smart move.  I liked that Bella handed him the letters and that he read them out loud.  

You two did a nice job of collaboration here! It made me want to slap Edward for listening and punch Charlie for demanding, but it turned out all right! Bella was raised in the army and knew exactly what the life entailed, so why would her father think she didn't know what she was getting by falling in love with a soldier? Edward shouldn't have decided without Bella's input, either! Guess it's a block-headed guy thing! All turned out well, so they are forgiven!
