Edward did the same thing to a child that Jasper did to him but I must admit that he didn't end up entirely like Jasper because at the end when he realized that he was like his brother he didn't write sick letters to Jacob, he didn't claim that he branded him, he didn't want the same fate for the kid instead he confessed to Bella all about his life and wanted to help Jacob to have a normal life unlike him.

Author's Response:

Thank you for giving this story a shot.

Child abuse is an alarming reality and more scaring is the amount of abused children that become abusers themselves. In trying to understand the mechanisms behind this reality I came up with this story.

Thank you for keeping an opened mind.

I liked the end, he recognized the beast within himself and had the strength to make himself get locked up in jail but has killed the brother who in my opinion was not the only one guilty of

Your inner monster exist and agree. Although Jasper dead prevented him being released from jail and hurt another child as he wrote in the letter to Edward that he would seek another child: "You know it will be a long time before I get out of here ... A long time before I can find another boy to love ... "

Author's Response:

Thank you for all of your reviews.

Writing this story was a difficult and emotional journey. I didn't enjoy a single moment of it - rest assured of that. A considerable amount of child molesters were abused as children - I always wondered why that happens. That's the premise of this story - trying to imagine how someone who was hurt ends up doing the same to another child. That's the route of Edward's bestiality. I didn't want to write him as an irredimiable character, therefore I chose to give him a shred of decency - that's why he puts himself away from society and kills Jasper before he can hurt anyone else.

I know it's a difficult story and I appreciate how much thought you put in our opinions.

Edward became a twisted equal Brother, that is sad.

I think the sad fact that he was raped by her brother, stepfather used by, used, raped beaten by colleagues, was retained by the institution in its aggressiveness in defending a world that insisted on hurting and hurting every step he took. An oasis of peace when in love with Mike and envy of those who were around her lost love. He tried to be like the dictates of society dictated that he himself raping a marriage that was doomed from the start.

And after going through all this, he had within it the seed of the monster as his brother predicted?

I think differently, who was his father? will this anomaly between these two brothers is genetic? may be by father or mother more external situations in life that ended the two shaping these twisted beings. I think just what his brother did to him in childhood would not be the answer if there was not already a predisposition in their minds. My opinion of course.

Jasper all these years that pass not lose hope of having his brother! It gets a twisted greater as time passes.

Well an Edward already suffered, and seems disgusted becoming twisted ........ hopefully different from Jasper.

Well it looks like another monster came near the child. This time it strange that someone tricked her mother a wolf in sheep's clothing like the first one that has infiltrated probably with ulterior motives.

Well, I see in his writings as a beast was coming up and taking a weak mind to undo what was left of humanity into being imperfect.

Although human beings are flawed and that being upset that lives under rules and dictates that he has created over the existence of mankind told in the history of the earth. And a mind that was born the faulty tendency is to bend until they completely wear.

This saw is in a completely twisted pleasure in destroying something pure and undefiled so sublime that you took what little sanity. Doubly the bestial being a blood brother and that only by being more twisted brother felt about.

You know, you're brilliant. I'm thinking here that the exercise was to see you in the mind of a twisted beast so .....

And I wonder how difficult it must have been after this beast exorcise his mind to finish the story.

Monster. He's a monster.

Author's Response:

Yes, he is a Monster. This story was born out of my need to understand why so many abused children grow up to become abusers themselves. It isn't an exaltation of this kind of appalling behaviour - it's merely me investigating how their minds work.

I know it's a hard story and if I offended you, I'm truly sorry.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reviewing. I think it's my obligation to warn you that this isn't a pretty story. It's about the devastating effects of child abuse. It's not for everyone, but I hope you keep reading. :)
