Ok, I'm confused. Chapter 1 has Bella living in a house, I'm guessing California?, but it's so hot, she has to shower several times a day. What does he spend his millions on if they don't even have central air? She is still being kept a secret and he has a better house for himself somewhere? I'm still loving your story, I just can't get that first chapter out of my head.

They do have central air, but Bella does go outside and do things, which she walks to. A shower in the morning, followed by a shower when she gets home because she feels gross... One more before bed if she wants to unwind or cool down in a different way? Maybe the water calms her. I'm glad you like the story, and an update is on the way soon! This was a hard chapter for me to read and like Edward afterwards. [But I do love this story and your writing and I am hopeful they get their HEA] ... So Bella is hidden away in FL like a dirty little secret struggling to help her mom while Edward is partying at clubs and flirting with waitresses.
But what really got me was hearing and seeing Bella so destroyed, all he can think is to blame Renee for it all, like he plays no role in her being upset. I get he has work responsibilities but he really really let Bella down, and I hope she lets him know it.
And speaking of Renee, I am sad Bella blames herself, but I am relieved that with Renee dead Bella will not continue to be tied down to FL and she wont cotinue to keep them apart.

I'm sorry it was a difficult chapter for you to read. Does it make you feel any better if I tell you that it was a difficult chapter for me to write? Truthfully. Trust in me when I say that I'm a firm believer in HEA's, even if it takes some time to get there.
Bella and Edward will interact in the next chapter, and a LOT of things will be said. Some good, and some not so good; a lot of emotional stuff.
You'll also see why Bella blames herself for Renee's death in the next chapter. In fact, it'll be how the chapter starts.

When I read the first chapter I thought Edward was cheating but now I just think he's filming a love scene. I think he's going to get caught up in the down falls that fame brings, drugs, parties and probably pushing his wife to the side. Poor Bella having to deal with Renee. I think it's unfair for Bella and Edward to shoulder the responsibility of taking care of Renee all by themselves. Charlie needs to step up and help. I hope Renee stays in the institution forever because if she goes to live with them it going to cause big problems and Bella is going to get caught up in taking care of Renee she going to forget about her marriage.
