This actually made me cry. Or is it making me cry right now? I'm unsure, but either way, there are teartracks on my cheecks, and it's because of your story! I'm really impressed with Edward's foolish bravery in coming over, and trying to make up for his shitty past behavior. It's got to be terrifying for him to really open up to someone, even if he does so in such a clumsy way. This chapter kind of reminds me of Mr. Darcy's effed up proposal in Pride and Prejudice; he doesn't ever really open up, so when he does, it's both shocking and not very well-formulated. Poor Edward! Poor Bella! Awesome Alice (I know, she wasn't in this chapter, but she deserves an honorable mention)!
