Awwww, congrats to the proud momma and poppa!!! I am SOOO glad that Edward insisted on going to the Dr's as soon as they got back into town, they needed the confirmation.
I remember that sensation of having to pee at one of those ultrasounds. I hated the fact that they would make you have to drink all of that water before going in.
These two are so excited and I am so happy, but I understand Bella's fears. The first trimester is the tricky one, specially for high risk pregnancies. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I am glad that she finally told Rose, now she will have someone to talk to about it all. There is a special bond between to best friends that are pregnant at the same time.
Now my only fear is that they both carry to term. If one does not that could be devastating.
Another fine chapter. :)

Poor Bella, I agree. Why does this keep happening to her? Though I think I may know.
She is a beauty, yet she does not think so. She is not able to read flirting for what it is. She may just think that she is being nice, but to a drunk man, she may be lingering too much. She is not on the same social playing field as everyone else.
I am glad that she was able to have fun with the girls though. Everything will work out in the wash. Things may not turn out exactly as one hopes, but one day they realize that they turned out exactly as they should.
I am proud of Bella though, she fought back. She didn't let him take her, she didn't sit on her hands. She took her power and used it against him. That is a HUGE step.
And I would have made him bleed profusely, just saying.
Her and Edward work so well together. I know that he is worried, but he is so good for her. They know each other so well and it is SO lovely to read.
Emmett is my favorite big teddy bear. He really is one of the best brothers that a girl could have.

Goodbyes are always bittersweet.
I feel Bella's pain, it is not easy stepping away from your security. She has been with him for a long time and they really aren't apart very much. And if they are, it is not over a long distance as it will be now. But, that being said, sometimes distance can be good. It gives you a chance to miss them, and really see how your life is. And she will be with her family so it isn't that bad.
Poor Edward though, will be stuck at work and all alone. He has not been away from her for any length or distance either. I know that he does not have the past that she does, but he still has the emotional trauma to deal with as well. He has taken on her burden, therefore can still show effects of it as well. Hopefully he will stay busy at work and he doesn't have any "trigger" cases while he is home alone.
I am so glad that they were all able to get together like this. This family is a strong unit and it makes me want to be adopted. :)
I chuckled at Carlisle paying off the wait staff to leave them alone for being rowdy, I can see him doing that. I could also see this group making a scene in a stuffy restaurant. they aren't exactly the "quiet" bunch.
I actually read this before bed, but I have time between when my midget has to be at school and when I have to be at work. So I figured I would be productive. Though true productivity would be me writing, but I chose to slack today. :)

Awwwwww, dammit you made me cry!! The last line was my favorite, as that is something that I would say.
I am really proud of Bella, she did it. She is free and moving forward and achieving more than she ever thought possible.
Esme's talk was spot on. It takes a very special person to be able to step into a mother's shoes and fill that gap. Sometimes it is easier to give birth to a child, than to piece back together one that didn't get a proper chance. I think that Bella will be an excellent mother, however she becomes one.
Victoria, she makes me want to go back to my original career path. I am curious about her history, I always have been. I always wonder where her compassion comes from.
Mood swing central for little Mrs Bella, makes me wonder. But you have her drinking, quite a bit. Hmmmm, maybe I have just been thrown too many plot curve balls. :) So I will try NOT to speculate.
I want to read another chapter, but bed is calling. We will have to see who wins out on this one. :)

It feels good to be back, and yes I am liking this story just as much.
I am worried about Bella as well though, she is reflecting an awful lot lately, and I know this may be partially because you want to fill in a lot of the gaps. But I just feel like you are trying to lead us to something else as well.
I am glad that everyone is getting together and that they seem to feel more comfortable speaking about issues.
I am glad that they adopted Em and Bella, still, makes it funny that is is dating her "brother."
Oh and by the way, I LOVE Victoria. One more chapt and then bed time. Darn school schedule.
Author's Response: The reflecting is, as you mentioned, sort of a fill-in-the-gaps between stories. Things will mellow out a bit as the story progresses. Victoria is in this story too, even though they don't live on the same side of the country. She's more of a friend now. :) I hear you on the "one more chapter before bed..." Oh, you know Alice...and I think Bella was just nervous about everything coming up.
Edward buried a lot of what happened to him, and I think part of the reason is because he wasn't exactly sure if it was real or not. Memories of a child that young aren't always the most reliable. I mean, I have flashes of my childhood, but I can never be sure they were real.

big sigh of relief as this time the chapter name dosen't have me sweating buckets before we start, this whole chapter was sentimental and emotional but in a good way, edward was not in the hospital long and the way you described him and bella reconnecting at home was beautiful not just after the birth of their son but after all that trauma as well they still found the time to desire each other and show their love again, esme is on the mend thank god and i'm sure carlisle is doing a fab job of tending to his wife, and finally they put the whole spermdoner madness to bed with his death and i must say they made a magnanimous decision to bury him as they did but if doing it that way gave them all closure then so be it,
just the epilogue are you sure? lol no sorry i know it reaching its natural conclusion but just to say i have enjoyed reading your story such a lot so thanks leelan

a chapter named run in caps no less had me worried before i even started reading, panic when he popped up in the kitchen and then relief when he began to calm under bellas words and then panic again when he went off again, so thank god he had a lucid moment and they got permission to get the baby out and then severe panic when i read the line esme was bloodied and swollen and bella sobbed no esme no, catching breath untill i read she put her thumb up, a dramatic chapter but at least it brings closure to the whole spermdoner father lurking in the shadows thing, i would think with his very obvious display of severe mental health issues he will be sectioned and kept out of society for as while, cant wait for the last chapter (big sigh) fantasticly well writen chapter thanks tracy

I started reading your stroy from the beginning and I just want to say I really like this story.. it is amazing.. I am so glad that Bella has found Edward and that they are doing so well.. So what is the catch are we going to be seeing more of ED SR?
Will Jaz and Alice fininal have a baby of there own? So many more questions. Please update soon.. I cant get enough of this love stroy of Bella and Edward and all that has come out of it.. They both at one time or another had bad things happen to them but all and all they came out as a very happy loving couple. they found true love and that is a great feeling.... a super, super chapter, i love the painting of their bodies and photos idea, bella gets her lovin and peanut reacts, not such good news with her blood pressure spiking but its like she said you have to do anything and everything to avoid a premature birth i had like 6 weeks of bed rest when pregnant with my triplets for precautions and yes its a drag when you look forward to a toilet trip just so you can get out of bed, but once again how brilliant is her husband organising the body cast and the photo shoot which sounds beautiful and very intimate bringing everything to her, loving this story,

another super chapter, that i just managed to read and review before i left for work not waiting all day again (only left 10 mins late lol) emmett talking to lily was just lovely, and jasper is thinking of becoming a parent this family is growing and growing quick, poor bella feeling like crap but bed rest is not so bad lots of us have had to put up with it, she has lots of people to rally round and help, and edward undressing her he truly is a devoted husband, loved the bit at the end of course alice would not forgo shopping, she'll just switch to online loved bella words heaven help in deed lol, thanks for another super chapter

oh excellent stuff emmett pov is just a blast, they had a girl well i was totally wrong on that front lol and lily is a lovely name, emmett talking to his new daughter was sweet and his reasurances to rose throughout labour and delivery were lovely even if he did need his sister to give him a pep talk to counter the nerves and remind him rose needed him, no more f-bombs rose says i bet that a hard one for him to follow lol and running up the corridor in his bathing suit shouting out the good news funny and classic, i'm still amazed you reply to every review you receive

Ah, the baby shower...they're actually a lot of fun. Lots of baby-themed games (I've played all of the ones mentioned in the story) and silliness. It's usually just women, but I wanted the boys to be there to make it funnier, and they needed to be around when Rose went into labour. The baby bottle game is a blast. Hun, you're preaching to the choir on the being single thing...why do you think I write such awesome men? Because I don't have one of my own. I need to create them. ;)

great chapter, things are moving along nicely for bella and edward, life is good and peanut getting stronger all the time, leg cramps are shockingly painful (i can remember only to well) i like their names conversation using elizabeth as a middle name is a wonderful idea i have done the same with my daughters they all have my mothers name as a middle name (she died 10 months before my eldest was born) its a great way to keep a memory of someone you treasure alive, i'm with bella on ed snr i'm still not convinced we've seen the last of him and now he has that diagonsis it makes him even more of a threat

monster is too tame a name for him and i cant find one strong enough to call him, his recolection of his marriage is so far removed from reality it's unbelievable, mental illness comes to mind he believes it was all fine before the pregnancy, the pregnancy and edward just became something solid he could use as an excuse for his violence, the only things i'm grateful for is that he put edward in the cot and did not kill him also and let esme and carlisle adopt him (although i'm sure they could have argued it in court) his take on the coffee shop conversation was bizare he never gave the appology he claims he wanted to it's like he's so convinced esme has poisoned edward against him he dosent even bother to listen just gathers his words into strikes against edward and lets the demon inside him loose, edward parting words gave the monster(still thinking of a word) info about peanut should i be worried? i suspect this is not the last we've seen of him

i think edward response on the phone was brilliant letting him know from the outset he does not consider him his father and he has to let his feelings out some how and out of bella and his parents way seems a good way as any screaming to the heavens is liberating pushing out all that pent up anger and sadness but not necessarily something he wants his wife and parents to see, i like how carlisle calls him son as he usually does and it's fine for him, a lovely touch was the three of them sharing the bed drawing strength from each other, i'm so taken with this story cant wait for the next update

those diaries are heartbreaking that poor woman, i can understand edwards reaction his anger at his mother and in a way i agree, but trouble is it's all to easy to say "just leave" but when your trapped in that cycle of abuse it is a horrendous task to try to escape in the beginning you believe you can change them or they will change then you move on to giving out too many chances as they persuade you to go back to the relationship because you want to believe in them and before you know it you cant even find the courage to leave anymore because the abuser has trapped you with threats of violence your confidence is rock bottom and your self worth is gone it's a nasty situation thats what elizabeths situation sounds like , edward may find that hard to understand being raised with love and respect, i'm glad edward decided not to have him in his life he dosen't need his presence, another fab chapter sad (yes i got my tisseus near by ) but so well written

hey there, another fab chapter, ok we ended a little early but they have had a super honeymoon and it gives them the perfect excuse to have another one in the future, more sexyness after dirty word scrabble (which i found quite amusing) the rerecording of bellas lullaby was a great touch and i thought bellas responses to edwards nightmares loving and caring which is exactly how they are with eachother and a good way for her to 'give back' as it were for all the care in the nightmares he's helped bella recover from, i'd like to see him dismiss his douchewad sperm doner refuse to let him in his life but not sure how effective that would be for closure maybe he would have to see him once to get answers?, excellent stuff

another emotionaly charged chapter, tha begining bit was fun with the boys taking the mick out of carlisle for swearing, and then poor edward getting the shock he got to move on to the bit where he seeks comfort from his parents that was was especially heartwarming and at least all the skeletons are out of the closet and bella understands and can allay his fears, all the drama can only serve to make them stronger as a couple they need each other
