I would liken this story to the bastard love child of Sharknado and Zombeavers, a self-consciously rididulous but delightfully camp romp.
Toxic waste? Check. Cartoonish baddie? Check. Faintly ridiculous monster? Check. Well meaning heroine that nobody listens to? Check. Hot love interest who will probably help save the day? Check.
You have absolutely nailed this genre and it feels like you firmly have your tongue in cheek as you write. Roll on the made for TV movie starring Tara Reid!!!
My only suggestion for improvement is to watch the head hopping as a couple of times I haven't been entirely sure who we were with.
I am four chapters in now and I will definitely be reading on! LL x
