It seems like her mom wouldn't have told her, hey you're a witch surprise, if the people hadn't chased her. Plus, if half the earth is witch and the other is human, why are witches being chased? Plus if half the earth is witch, wouldn't the other half know?

In a story about magic and spells and action, there has to be a great amount of detal. Plus chapter 1 & 2 can be mixed into one chapter.
