I'm trying very hard to portrey the struggle between the two characters, the ultimate goal being their eventual evolution into the perfectly matched mated couple. It'll take some doing to get them there, but hopefully I can show some flashes and hints of it along the way.

Good story but I'm not as into it as some of your other stories. I think it's because jasper is very rigid and I haven't seen any heart or softness from him. Maybe a chapter from his pov would help with that?

Hi. Thanks for your review.
Jasper, in this story is still very much the cold, closed off killer that Maria made him into. He has never known, nor given love and tenderness in his vampire life. I had hoped that I'd conveyed that through the story thus far, but I guess maybe I failed in that in some way. Anyhow, his character will always be Dark, as the story summary/warnings state. He will, however, evolve throughout the story to be a fit and loving mate to Bella, in his own dark and dominant way. In turn, Bella's character also has some growing and changing to do. If they didn't, there wouldn't be much of a story. Will this story ever be fluffy? No, and that's very much by design.
As a reader, I always found it frustrating when I would read what was supposed to be a dark/dominant Major, only to have him turn into a subservient pussy to Bella just a few chapters in. Needless to say, that won't happen in this story. Will Bella cave and be a broken slave to him? No, she won't. She wouldn't be much of a match to the Major at that point. The ultimate goal for their relationship in this story is to find the balance. It will be a process.
I realize that not every story I write will fit every reader, but that's also by design. I strive to make each story different from all the rest.
